Everything. Have to say I would rate your muesli 15/10. Could easily have that for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Not having my own balcony as I love sitting on my balcony in my pajamas.
Beautifully decorated guest house. Fabulous breakfast. Lovely hostess
Spacious and comfortable. The decor was neutral and soothing. There was a complementary bottle of good quality wine which made for a great start to our evening. The location is excellent, especially for people visiting the Stellenbosch University Campus or for those going to a concert performance in the Endler. The auditorium was really around the corner.
The quality of the complimentary coffee. Come on guys - Ricoffy? At least give us Jacobs. I did count 4 stars after all.
Middedorp Manor is a beautiful Victorian guest house 5 minutes walk from the centre of Stellenbosch. The staff are wonderful, friendly and very helpful. The facilities are excellent, especially the little sun trap of a pool area.
It was a lovely experience. Staff were friendly and helpful. Lovely room with a view of the garden and fresh flowers. Tasty breakfast under the patio.
My only comment would be that the bread rolls were hard. They must have been warm earlier so by the time we came at 9 for breakfast they were hard. We requested toast instead.
Found it difficult to find bell/get registered
Short walk to town, relaxing/quiet, friendly staff & property well maintained.
We had a wonderful time at the Manor and would recommend anyone who is passing through Stellenbosch to stop by Middedorp Manor. From the reception, to the rooms, and breakfast the next morning. We could not have been taken care for better
Nothing really. No complaints whatsoever!
We stayed just for one night for our 1 year anniversary while doing wine tasting and exploring the delicious restaurants in the area. We loved the position of the hotel. Very close to the town and a walk from the botanical gardens - a must see. They upgraded us into the big suite/cottage separate to the house. It was homely, fresh, quiet and very clean. In all a stunning place but add a touch of details above and it would be great.
For the price I expected just a gown and slippers in the room as well as a more exciting breakfast with cappuccino instead of just filter coffee. Also make sure the tea stuff had been refilled. Maybe even a chocolate or bunch of flowers for special occasions. Pillows were lovely for display on bed but too big to sleep on.
The lovely Victorian manor has a very elegant , sleek and modern decor. The rooms and bathrooms are well designed. The reading room is a lovely place with the added bonus of an "honest" drink if you feel like it.
We were totally underwhelmed by the Breakfast!! The "Buffet" choices are very limited and seems mean. The warm breakfast was just OK , the same as you would get at any Wimpy - not suitable gor this stylish mansion and the price one pays!
Very close to restaurants, Very confortable hotel, Friendly staff.
Location is excellent with easy access to town and the many restaurants. Maxwell very friendly and helpful. Plenty of off street parking.
Stayed in a luxury suite (room 4) but had very little sleep as there is a window above the bed without a blind that allows in too much light.
Most comfortable bed I've ever slept in. The whole experience was just wonderful!
The house was awesome, so elegant. The staff were very helpful and friendly. We were made to feel very welcome. It was a very restful stay for both of us and we thoroughly enjoyed it, just a shame we could not stay longer.
Beautiful old house, bed was superb, linen & towels were top quality, bath robes & slippers were supplied, shower was fantastic, stunning decor, members of staff were friendly and helpful, pretty garden & pool area, plenty of off-street parking, walking distance to many restaurants, shops, museums and botanical gardens.
Breakfast was a bit of a shambles and noise from the foyer and breakfast area could be heard clearly in the room, the bath hadn't been connected properly so the overflow leaked straight onto the floor, there was no fridge in the room and tea/coffee wasn't replenished on a daily basis.
The shower drain did not do its job so you ended up standing in a large pool of water. It was useless trying to take a bath - the water pressure to the bath was so poor it would have taken hours to fill. Had to request toilet paper which was overlooked. Had to ask for a heater as A/C heating did not function.
The house has a wonderful historic ambience , but a sleek and eye pleasing interior decoration. The parking inside the premises is a huge plus.
The breakfast buffet is not up to standars and the coffee rather awfull! "New coffee" is simply supplied by adding x-stra water to the coffee machine to once again filter through the already used grounded beans - yuk!!
Friendly and helpful staff. Our room was on the ground floor. It was large and private.
As stated above, especially the friendly staff.
Cat walking into my room (have allergic reaction) and breakfast tables were set too close to each other - no personal space. Maybe something to change - could be easily solved though.
Comfortable stay in luxury room Stay in the Deluxe room for a spoil The house is also just gorgeous, with home comforts - honesty bar, library and reception rooms 200m from town centre
Nothing, will return
Small number of rooms. Very helpful but unfussy service. Comfortable and large room.
very nice guest house, both room and communal areas are very nice
bathroom a bit small and with no heating
The location, 3 minutes from the town cente is a real bonus. The rooms, the whole B&B in fact is beautifully decorated.
The warm welcome and the friendliness of the staff set the tone. A wonderfully comfortable room, very spacious and beautifully decorated. The library of books and honesty bar opened onto a balcony, which unfortunately because of the weather we did not have the opportunity to use. On our final day the sun appeared and we were able to breakfast in the lovely garden (and to talk with the beautiful resident Persian cat!). As the town centre is only 5 minutes walk away, the location is perfect. I wish we could have stayed longer. The comfort of the guests is uppermost and we almost felt like family!
We loved everything.
Pretty much everything! The bedroom, location, people & services, breakfast..
