Nice property in the centre of Montagu. Huge tastefully decorated room. Easy check in and check out.

We were there during winter and the room was very cold. The heaters weren't effective enough.

Beautiful big bedrooms, excellent cuisine at dinner.

After the amazing evening meal the breakfast was a little disappointing.

Nice to receive some complimentary bottles of wine and beer.

Bernie, who met us at reception was most welcoming, warm and kind. Unfortunately, he was more the exception than the rule. We asked for breakfast to be served to our room and staff begrudgingly brought up some cold croissants and coffee. We had already pre-ordered this based on the fact we were paying top dollar in the 'honey-moon' suite. Add to the equasion the place was virtually empty. One little bar of soap between three people we asked for more however did not receive it. The room was average for the price also. A pity and will not return.

We just loved the atmosphere, the effort that went into preparing for our arrival and the fact that although you are in a hotel/lodge who accommodate a lot of people you still have privacy and freedom to move around as you please to enjoy the gardens, pool and tv room and have some private family time. The breakfast spread was awesome and the best we have ever experienced. They have a wide variety to choose from on a buffet to help yourself. The whole experience was just awesome.

    Dinner experience was excellent

Being given the worst room in the house when several others were avaiable. They changed it after we asked.

    Pool area, staff very helpful.

Room quite small. Town very quiet, not that much to see in immediate facinity.
