the set up of rooms and the pool area
we dint like bath tabs there are small
Scrumptious breakfast, friendly staff and the tranquility of Misty Hills
Wifi accessible to one user only
The rooms are beautiful and secluded.
The breakfast buffet can have a wider variety of items
1. Not far from getting on and off the highway 2. Staff were very friendly and helpful 3. Linen seemed to be clean and fresh 4. Soft toilet paper 5. Food was good 6. The personalised note on mybed
1. A lady came around and woke me us coz she thought I had left already - it wasn't even 8.30 yet! 2. The room was cold as the heater wasn't effective, although it was in working condition 3. I wasn't sure where to park when I went to check in as everywhere it said "tow-away zone" so I parked my car quite far from the Hotel and walked there and back. Nothing serious but for older or disabled people it might be a problem 4. Didn't like the idea of my car being outside in the sun for 2 days.
It is nice and private and you are able to walk around in the lovely gardens.
Dirty, dilapidated and unfriendly. Avoid at all costs!
The restaurant, The Gin Box and the Summerhouse Buffet. Friendly staff.
My booking was not correct and I had been liaising with the Hotel for a month. Dark walkways at night, not proper lighting, I twisted my ankle on the uneven paving. No Golf carts/ luggage valets to assist you to your room. U must walk yourself and find your room on your own with your luggage. I have e-mailed the Hotel on my return three days ago and still have not heard a word from anyone, regarding my incorrect booking. I will not be staying at the Establishment again and I don't think that it is worthy of 4 **** stars.
Room was very nice and location was also good
Service was poor although breakfast service was very good, coffee shop and reception terrible
value for money
The food was good and the people serving you. I had a quite bungalow with no noise coming inn. The staff at daytime was nice and gave good service.
The check at late evening was not as expected and the reception took all the numbers (control number also) from my credit card when it was an electronic transaction which was approved immediately without any explanation. The placement of bungalows is a little bit messy and in my room dust all the time where falling from the room and into my bed. The Wi-Fi had a weak signal but it worked alright.
booked a double bed and got 2 single beds.no apology fm management. staff seemed clueless. Staff at breakfast needs proper training on how to serve guests....very unprofessional
Rooms are dark
It was accessible to the western and northern business areas. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were friendly. I left my cell phone behind and when I called the phone, a cleaning lady told me she was at reception handing it in. I met her there to get it back from her. nice to see honesty in South Africa.
Restaurants did not serve vegetables separately in buffets. All the meat dishes in the Summerhouse restaurant were prepared with too much pepper! -no individual flavours. Rooms were too dark in the day time -too many trees and bush around the room.
Management upgraded us to an executive suite and dealt with the matter professionally.
The superior deluxe room with a mountain view was not available, as the rooms were being fumigated. Originally we were put in a room without a view despite the extra that had already been paid for this additional feature.
Service could be better.
Everything, from service to facilities. It is not a four star hotel, a lodge would be better. The furniture is old, the facilities are old, the staff is bad, it looks like a tent in the bush, nothing says four star about it at all.
Staff were friendly and willing to help. A nice positive attitude! Great breakfast and friendly staff. Best part is that it is the closest venue to Casalinga.
We did love spending time in the garden it is beautiful, and just relaxing in the room.
Would of like maybe to have seen or gone on a trip to see animals,
we realy loved the place
the booking in exsperiance whas not at all nice
Very friendly helpfull staff!
The breakfast was extremly poor. We got to the breakfast area at 10:00am and most of the food had run out. The pork sausages tasted off. the bacon was grey in colour looked like it had been steam/boiled and did not taste very good. Most of the food was very bland. We did not enjoy the breakfast at all...
Staff confirmed double bed but booked twin bed. Staff irritable and evasive instead of solving the problem. Manager not accessible for staff and customers Linen used by previous visitor was not changed when new visitor arrived. Showers too small. Green towels TV's old fashioned with poor resolution and not working. Beds too old
the surroundings are beautiful.
considering the feeling being in the relaxing shrub, and ponds- around our room it was overgrown with weeds, the pond was stagnant, lots of dead bugs floating on top of the water. we had also booked a room that was to be around no smaller children, only to find we had to contend with noisy families close to our room.
Location was good. Domestic staff were friendly
Amenities in the room was poor. Quality of lounge chairs and decor look old and shabby. There was no power on Sunday morning, with no explanation Reception directions were poor. Witness many visitors proceeding to the wrong areas.
We loved how each and every staff member greeted us.
We were not impressed by the meal @ Carnivore. It seems they are more about quantity and hence there is no quality. We were sent to the Curio shop as we had forgotten something behind only to find that it was closed.
