Could not sleep, loud music in nearby restaurant, no mention of this on website
My disappointment started on arrival when i was given a four bedroom to sleep with my mom and husband with the reason that we will be saving R1700 if we take that room. We both felt insulted because there is no way i can share a room with my mom AND my husband, not a chance. We managed to sort that one out and we were given a room with my husband and mom was given her own room. However, we were told to pay R 880 more than what we budgeted for because my husband was not included in the booking (which i dont know how it happened) we than tried to talk to the manager to cancel the accommodation for the other three nights because we could not afford an extra 800 as we did not budget for it. The manager is something else, she doesnt know how to talk to people she was more concerned about her salary as she kept telling us that she have a family and kids she need to feed. We later had to talk to the family back in Namibia to send us some money to move out of the guest house. We slept there for a night and the next afternoon we settled the fees for the 4 nights and moved to hotel 224. There everything went well, the cleanliness, the food, the friendliness of the staff is Mwaaaaah
The guest house itself, nowhere to go, the reptiles are just running in the toilet. The cupboards are a joke.
We were upgraded to the Madiba suite, which was a lovely suite. Thank you!
We arrived to a bin in the bathroom which was full and appeared to ( and smelt) as if a sanitary towel had been discarded in there for quite some time. That has unfortunately left quite an impression.
Lovely setting and friendly welcome.
The peace and quiet
What a fantastic experience... Stunning location... thank you so much! Annalize
Love the fact that it was in the City but yet also out of the city... nice and tranquil.
the matress needs to be replaced....
Rooms were elegant, staff was very accommodating and attentive, attached restaurant was five star! Fresh all the way around
The steps up to the main lobby and the rooms.
Staff was first class....great rooms.....great restaurant
Everything was great ..... no complaints
It is a beautiful facility with large rooms. It also happened to be close to where I needed to do some business.
There were not enough power outlets available in the rooms and the lighting in the rooms at night is very dim.
Neat and tidy.
The breakfast should not be outsourced, you can order from a menu to the value of R55, the concern is normally with a breakfast you get at least a cup of coffee, the breakfast ordered was to the value excluded coffee. Should be having a set breakfast (example full English breakfast incl bottomless coffee) for overnight guests. There was a "gap" in the wall next to the shower (leading to a staircase??) only covered with a (see through)wooden decoration, this feel unsafe and not very private. The TV screen only showed 3/4 of the screen the other 1/4 was black. Did not get the slippers and gowns as advertised, did not want to enquire as I take things as promised - just would not visit again.
Warm reception and customer service
