New Kings Hotel was a great place to stay because of location, comfort, could go for walking along seaside. This was great. Breakfasts was just excellent. Staff was very eager to help. I truly got good value for my money. Would stay here again any time, also will tell my friends about it, in general its just a great place. In evenings you can have a great meal downstairs in courtyard. A safe place to stay at, rooms was clean and very neat. Hope to get tHe same price again. Great just great. What a view when having breakfast outside on the porch. Just loved the sea view. This was just a great experience!!!!!! Thanks again.....!!!! No dislikes, just loved the plce....

Nice spacious rooms. To little staff, nobody behind the bar when you wanted to order a drink. Breakfast was cold. (Eggs, sausage all cold) Not nice!

The room was great. The continental breakfast was wonderfull, and parking was free. Conveniently situated close to Green piont Stadium, the v&a waterfront and Cape Town city bowl.

The space of the room is comfortable as well clean. Type of service provided really poor such as you have to request for iron machine & " Yourself" have to bring it to your room. My wife had to bring it. There is no staff of the hotel help you carrying you baggage during check in/out or provide you with any service to your room. 2- internet is limited for only 100mb & they provided with vouchers. Sometime voucher will be out of stock & thus you have to wait for couple of days. 3-For the entire hotel there is only 3 iron machines which means most often during season you wont find one. You have to stay in queen which I honestly, didn’t like in it. 4- Hotel staff weren’t nice during check in, the hotel manager is who is running the hotel so you would imagine how many staff they have. 5- During check in hotel request to provide all details of your " Credit Card" which is unacceptable at all. It is very confidential & shouldnt be shared with anyone. If you are looking for service & Warm welcome during check in I wouldnt recommend it if you are looking for only clean room with reasonable breakfast & without service(iron machine then it might be suitable for you. The price I got it was for $90 for

Location & parking facilities are excellent ! Staff is friendly and professional. Room is basic but spacious and includes an IPod docking station with ceiling speakers which is nice. Very noisy hotel but the sound of the airconditioning overrules almost all others so actually excellent. Considering the price ( cheap ! ) it's well worth the price and absolutely recommendable. Breakfast is a disaster (cold coffee, only a few eggs available) But plenty of other places in the area; VA has some excellent venues though. The option to book without breakfast would be welcome. Lousy cleaning by staff; floors were not cleaned at all.

Good lacation, big rooms. The lady at reception was pathetic. No customer service skills whatsoever. Didn't give us any information, didn't even feel it was necessary to get up and point us to our room. She checked us in, gave us a room number and then proceeded with a personal conversation with her friend.

The location was ideal and convenient. Price was right and food was good. Staff helpfull and friendly. Was a pleasure staying at the New Kings Hotel. Would recommend it any day. Parking was always available and safe.

The room was very comfortable and the location was ideal for seeing the sights. The room had an open floor plan in which the shower was in the bedroom; it had a glass door with only a slight bit of frosted glass on the door. This is not an ideal set up when the room is shared.

I really liked the location , it certainly suited my pocket and definetely was very easy to get around.Breakfasts ...hmmm... Yummy!!! It needs a more exciting lounge area. Also what would be nice , if one could have some light meals when watching the sunset from the bar area.

Great hotel, rooms were nice, clean, modern and comfortable. Great value. Location was ok, bit far from downtown but close to the hop on/hop off bus stop and nice to be right beside grocery store, cafes etc. I would book and stay at New Kings hotel again. Also changed my reservation online with no issues.

Free underground parking place, closeness to the dentist (:|) No sea view rooms, lazy indelicate cleaning service, lazy canteen service, too small canteen, too cold in the canteen, cold dishes which are supposed to be warm (coffee, scrambled eggs).

Great experience, staff were really great for a late night check-in. Even brought an Internet Voucher to the room after 11 pm The hotel is well appointed above a shopping centre. The contemporary urban chic design and the spacious rooms provide for a comfortable stay. Breakfast is really good

The Ipod shuffel docced stand. I didn't like the food, it was very poor quality. The towels weren't changed at all. The room was not regularly cleaned - it was only cleaned once from the whole 3 and half days we were there. The service is terrible. They gave no complimentary water. The hotel is very noisy.

The location was perfect as we attended an event at the stadium which is a stones throw away, as well as the waterfront. Walking distance from the beach, shops and restaurants. The breakfast was decent but did they did not serve bacon/ pork, there were however a few restaurants donwstairs. Also the handyman was unable to repair the safe in our room so we had to use the main receptions safe.

Ideal for access to beach at Sea Point area of Cape Town. Car parking (free to hotel guest), safe & secure. Staff were more than helpfull, I.e information where to go, what to see, general ideas on what to see whilst in the Cape Town area. Use of margerine instead of butter on bread products, I.e toast at breakfast !!
