Lack of a bath despite requesting one.
poor wi-fi in room, a must have for many, also would like flat screen tv, more sports channels and BBC!!! Rooms are a little tatty now but see that refurbishment is beginning
good location, food, two pools and very friendly helpful staff environment very peaceful and gives areas for short walks too.
they are professional, friendly and assisted with every requirement we had
Th room had no coffee or tea and a minute tv. Any city lodge offers better value. It needs a flatscreen and some basic snacks/ drinks.
We came back at about 12h30 , the security let us in without asking anything. The bedroom needs upgrading.
Location excellent, staff friendly.
Location easy to find from Airport. Great launch for access to Garden route. Great pool and spa. Enjoyed the 19th pool pub and staff. We stayed twice and were recognised the second time ! Excellent!
More of a tourists hotel with many coach parties. Breakfast on Saturday was chaotic. Queing and items where not quickly replaced. Bedroom furniture out of date/ jaded needs an urgent revamp. For the price we had to pay one can get much better value at the smaller B&B hotels with nicer facilities However I would not come again but book instead a smaller boutiques hotel
Service and food at the poolside restaurant on Valentines evening was very good. Price was also ok for the occasion.
The room was very poorly furnished and appointed. It reminded us of a second rate 3 star hotel. Dull layout, uncomfortable flooring, very tired furniture.
The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a very good meal in La Vigna restaurant .
the shower blocked up, the water was not warm and the soap dish was laying on the side - broken off.
Size of room and friendliness of staff
Floor under the bed was filthy and coveredd in dust and human hair. The room smelt mouldy. the patio furniture was of very poor quality.
Showering in the bath
Very comfortable bed
Whole hotel could do with a make over. General standard of the hotel is poor. Hotel needs a revamp. The airconditioner in our room did not cool the room and nothing was done when I notified the desk. Also the vanity in our room was comming away from the wall.
lack of bar fridge in room, outdated bathrooms.
Position, staff attitude, size of room, food.
Rooms were dated Couch upholstery in need of steam cleaning No flat screen tv Had to request a fridge for the room - supplied an old one upon request Only bath and no shower
Easy access to hotel Friendly staff Excellent service Quality food
I could write a book
Poorly designed and messy shower heads Sliding door would not open Noise in passage (staff on radios and loud guests) Table bookings messed up 4 times (in dining room and restaurant!)
Excellent buffet breakfasts Friendly staff Lovely room Proximity to shopping cente Tranquil surroundings Well maintained gardens
The concierge desk was pretty awful. The day we arrived at Cape Town airport the shuttle we had booked to the Hotel was almost an hour late and the driver didn't have a board with our names. Not sure how he thought he would identify us. Second day, the shuttle we had booked to pick us up from the VA Waterfront didn't arrive at all and when I phoned the Hotel it transpired that the staff member on duty had not booked the shuttle at all.
My wife and our 2 children stayed here for a couple of nights during peak season. The facilities are now a fair couple of years past their best. Our 'superior' room had a clunky and very bulky old fashioned TV - NOT flat screen - with very poor reception. Bathrooms and decor similarly bit old and run-down. In general the best thing was that the staff were incredibly friendly in the restaurant both at breakfast and supper time.
Sub standard breakfast
Do not know how they still maintain their 4* grading. When doing search for 4 adults and 2 children, www.booking.com gave a quotation, but when NH Lord Charles confirmed the booking, they manage to get it wrong. Only to had to find out two days before the stay, that additional fees were added. Not impressed at all!!
Strand beach in December.
Love the location. So near to good malls and wine farms close at hand. Easy access to airport.
The service at breakfast was fun but a bit slow.
Air conditioning not working.
Staff very courteous and friendly.
Staff attitude Cleanliness Restaurant service was appalling
