Expected more for a four star hotel. Swimming pool was green. Our shower was in the bath hence water was all over the floor when shower was in use. Bathroom was tired. Staff were not very warm and welcoming. Aircon was not cold.
Even Though everything was neat and tidy, this Hotel requires serious maintenance as well as an upgrade. Equipment, TV's and most of the furniture are rundown and out of date. Staff service, especially your waiters was poor, lethargic and unprofessional. I would not recommend LC to anyone, since it doesn't offer value for money at all. It however has great potential to do just this.
Jacuzzi, sparkling wine at breakfast
Fridge not working in first room so had to move to a premier rooon and reception wrote down my card cvv number.
reception, very friendly
suite room 2009 far away
I called in advance to make sure my room was ready by 12pm as I had a wedding at 1pm and I arrived at 12pm and thy said my room would only be ready at 3pm. I was hugely dissapointed and had to switch my room to another floor. I paid a lot of money for this room and by even calling in advance didn't help. I was also dissapointed with the staffs willingness to help or to switch my room until I demanded it.
Bedrooms clean and spacious but looking jaded and old fashioned.
Good location for Wine Area. Friendly staff Near to large shopping mall and would recommend Giovanni's restaurant only 5minutes walk
Bacon undercooked. Lack of convenient electric points
All of the above and food was excellent.....
I PLEADED WITH YOUR RECEPTION AND ROOM SERVICE FOR A SEAT FOR THE BATHROOM AS I AM A PARAPLEGIC. I SPOKE TO THEM ON3 OCASION EACH BUT TO NO AVAIL. ONLY MADE PROMISES.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. The buffet breakfast was very good and lots of food! The room was comfortable and security felt good. The hotel is close to shops and restaurants but we chose not to leave the grounds of the hotel until checkout and that worked well.
Limited TV channels to watch. Shower in the bath
The friendliness of the staff and the cooperation of the staff
The long corridors
Position, gardens. The name, outside of the hotel, write ups - did not live up to the expectations. A most disappointing stay. Wimpy breakfast on the day we arrvied was better than the buffet breakfasts for the following 2 mornings. Very sad but will not visit again and have unfortunately mentioned to quite a number of friends including travel agents, who thanked for the update.
Room - dirty marks on couch, carpets, carpets that were cut out and replaced but a very bad job. Unpleasant front of house and after booking on your site they still want R14.10 - why do you not say that there is still a levy to be paid. There is not enough space here to complete my assessment.
Nice entrance. Nice dining room. Nice staff. Good parking. Value for money.
Generally the bedrooms need refurbishing. Getting tatty. Shower head for example broken and water leaks onto floor. The room was adequate but seriously in need of an upgrade for a hotel of this standard. Outdoor furniture in poor condition - needed a goo clean!
Classic 19th hole bar. Old fasioned feel of buildings. Lovely stream running throught the property adds to tranquility.
Room bathroom facilities becoming shabby and must have been impracticle ever since new. No fridge in room, would have been appreciated ever if it was not stocked as minibar.
The gardens the gardens & the gardens
Only 1 chef at breakfast doing the eggs etc.
food was average.can certainly improve taste and variety(buffet)
Room service - food was divine
Room felt stale and bathroom had strange smell. Tourist levy not charged so had to pay in addition. Also different websites have different prices so if I booked through us website would have got cheaper rate. Web site pics of breakfast included oysters and salmon and that was not provided.
Whole experience was good. From checking in to checking out. Thank you
At check in I asked your staff member for a favour and he complied without hesitance and with a big smile. Wish I could remember his name.
Not a biggie, but there should be better indications at breakfast for the specific lines to obtain waffles, omelettes or fried eggs.
Location: conference venue so no need to travel
Horrid shower over bath that caused entire flooding if bathroom floor. Was moved to another room, but that had the exact same problem. Very uncomfortable bed. Aircon malfunction and no blankets easily available.
It was just so relaxed
staff very friendly and helpful
overall has a tired looking appearance could do with a refurb. food in a la carte restaurant not great & quite pricey - for instance my camembert cheese starter was a ridiculously small portion given amount being charged
The tatty rooms. The buffett diner tasteless food.
reserved money not paid back, not even after a call 2 days later. no teabags or milk replaced 2nd day. money still not paid back
Enjoy our stay
