The owner is a lovely lady and I know the place is up for sale and I can understand why she is not doing any work on the place. THe views are great and very close to the Kruger gate.
The cabin could have been great but it needed a total revamp old tatty furnishing. Bathroom needed replacing. There was no generator and there was no electricity on the two evenings we were there. It is not suitable for the elderly or kids.
The view and tranquillity. Access to tourist sites.
Difficult to get the place. No boards to turn-off. Against the hill. Difficult to turn the vehicle.
The owner is very nice and helpful. The cottage is pretty big.
Far from the center, very hard to find, NO WIFI.
really nice host.
Excellent VFM interiors, Unique experience of staying in log home, cooperative staff/caretakers
Ants all across the unit
The streets leading to the house were very steep and the driveway. You would not be able to take a trailer.
Very spacious accomodation with terrace,(with a view) and BBQ facility. Friendly and helpful staff
Very steep approach drive was a bit scarey.. No WiFi (not really a big deal). Location a bit remote from shops & restaurants.
Directions are poor and there is no signage. The steep drive way is a night mare and the electric fence was poorly explained and could be dangerous. Calling to get the gate opened is difficult for international travellers
Spacious, private and had everything we needed
TV wasn't working, stove not in good working order and needs new decor.
No Electricity for portion of the night. No Water- could not shower or shave -brush teeth
It suited our purposes of a one night stay en route to Kruger Park.
Position in relation to Hazyview is not ideal.
I liked the swimming pool.
The directions to the lodge was very inadequate, with the result that I spent over half an hour trying to locate it. The driveway at the loghome was so steep my car cut out 3 times. After careful revving, I managed to get up the incline on the 4th attempt.
Nice and relaxed quite place
Everything the air the surrounding s the nature just everything
Nothing not to like
Very helpful owners, the accommodation was very comfortable. It is a 10 minute drive from shops and restaurants (in Hazyview).
Really good value for money. It is very spacious, there is a small swimming pool with a very nice view and terrace. It is very quite place, located ca 15km from Park's gate. Of course you need a car to get there. All equipment and furniture are a bit old style, not too modern but it was not a problem at all.
There were some big bugs in the house :-o but probably it is hard to avoid them in such an area.
