Northcliff Manor Guesthouse  

Very nice place. I enjoyed my stay there. The owners are really nice people, great staff, yummy breakfast, very comforatble rooms, nice environment with nice collection of antiques. I got free rides to nearby places from the hotel management. Overall it's a great place. I would recommend Northcliff Manor GH to anyone anyday.

It'll be nice to have intercomm in the room. I understand everything is just a walk away but sometimes one might just want to talk to the hotel staff while in bed. It'll be nice to include lunch and dinner in their menu list. It will also be nice to have more News channels on the cable TV like CNN and BBC.

Great location, wonderfull friendly and welcoming staff. Comfortable accomodation with small touches of thought which result is luxurious living.

The service, food and decor was impeccable. The Guest House is close to all Amenities.

Two amazing persons, Johnny and Ilse, and a very nice staff. The house is unique, not only from its history but also the brilliant location on a hill side.

The house is located in a very nice area, but there is no public transport so a car is very useful.

We had a delightful stay there. Excellent hosts. Good breakfast. Lovely animals protecting us.

This was a Guesthouse where the owners are truly part of the house making me feel so at home and relaxed The absolute quite and tranqual gardens and home .. all the comforts and the spoils Johnny and Ilse provide The home atmosfere with the dogs in and out of the house and so friendly .... The beuatiful art on the walls , thank you for sharing that with us

That my barthroom was not onsuite , but I umnderstand why Suppers on request would be nice The selection of TV station in room not to my likeing.Would have like to have either no TV in room or selection that suited me

The house is lovely. In a beautiful neighbourhood with a lot of Jacaranda trees. The room was very nice, with a lot of natural light. Everything was very clean. Johnny and his wife were really kind and helpful.

We choose a room with the bathroom across the hall (in front of our room), very big and nice but it was outside of the room. (The fault is mine because I didn't realize when I did the reservation).

The Northcliff Manor Guesthouse offered a welcome repose in the middle of a hectic business trip. The quirky style and furnishings, hilltop setting overlooking the city, close vicinity to my clients in the city and personal touches made it a pure pleasure to stay here. I could not believe that so much value was available at such a low price. Will definitely stay here again.

Lovely personally decorated guesthouse with paintings, and interesting artifacts throughout. 5 guestrooms. Owners are pleasant, helpful and glad to give information about Johannesburg and other places to visit in sa. Highly recommend.

I have stayed in many hotels and guest houses around the world and found this guest house to be of superior quality - their breakfasts were unmatched, the interior of the guest house elegant, the rooms comfortable and very clean, the proprietors thoroughly attentive and most enjoyable. I will definitely stay there again.

I liked the location since I wanted a calm place. The environment was so family and comfortable, the team accomodated me in my personal needs also. I would recommend this to others, definately! A nice place to rest and disconnect from city...

No telephone line in the rooms.

I loved the service provided, especially reliable, safe, courteous transport from airport to hotel. The reception was hospitable and lovely. Arrangements for a take away breakfast to meet early flight was offered and given nicely. My husband and I want to go back to enjoy the Manor, instead of just a quick transit overnight.

I have trouble sleeping if there is light. The curtain in the bedroom didn't close completely. I was too tired to ask for help or changing rooms.

De gastvrijheid, vriendelijkheid en service is ongekend. Schone kamers, warme en gezellige atmosfeer. Je zal hier een geweldige ervaring hebben. Een bezoek aan Thunder Gun steakhouse mag zeker niet ontbreken!! Super!!

Это самый восхитительный отель по окружающей тебя атмосфере, в котором я останавливалась! Жила в нем в феврале 2013. Небольшой 2х этажный дом, переделанный в отель с прекраснейшими хозяевами, которые откликаются на любую просьбу (не входящую в обязанности!!). Идеальная чистота. Прекрасный завтрак на полуоткрытой террасе с полной сервировкой, хорошим выбором горячих блюд, фруктовые салаты, йогурты, сыры, круассаны и другая вредная вкуснятина, которую я не рассматривала))) Бассейн, у которого можно прекрасно позагорать. Бесплатный паркинг и wi-fi. Если вы готовы окунуться в домашнюю заботливую атмосферу, то вам сюда! Если вы не любите животных, то выбирайте другой отель... лично я была в восторге от милых кокер спаниелях и другой большой белой собаки, которые были очень ласковыми и веселыми, но в тоже время прекрасно охраняли территорию!! Которая вся кстати погружена в такую тропическую растительность, что каждый вечер хотелось выходить на террасу и любоваться. И еще один важный момент - если вы хотите получить гламурную вип пятерку с косметикой булгари и дон периньонами, тогда не сюда! но плюсы в душевной атмосфере здесь перекрывают все дополнительные блага, к которым некоторые из нас привыкли!!!

Le décor est somptueux. La maison est magnifique, un prototype de l'art déco avec de superbes objets d'art. L'accueil des propriétaires est fantastique.

Le guide proposé ne remplit pas tout à fait ses conditions, ie ne le réserver que pour l'aller retour à l'aéroport

The beds are reasonably small and hard.

De plek is erg mooi en goede uitvalsbasis naar de stad Het is er rustig Sfeervolle kamer en nette badkamer

Het bed is keihard De honden zijn iets te aanwezig, vooral om 7u 's ochtends Prijs/kwaliteitverhouding ongunstig vergeleken met andere guesthouses in Johannesburg, ik had er meer van verwacht obv de prijs
