The gardens and walking/cycling route
Pillows were to big for us we prefer less fuller ones we suggest one thin one and one thick on.
The location was lovely, but only if you're not expecting to be in the centre of Stellenbosch. You will need a car or get around. The farm itself had great views and the rooms were fine - comfortable and everything we needed. Be sure to get some olives on the farm. Delicious!
We arrived at about 4pm and the coffee shop/deli had closed its kitchen so we couldn't have a pre-dinner snack. However there is a kitchen in the guest house so if we had planned better, we would have been okay. Some of the rooms share bathrooms so just check your booking if that will offend you. The house is quite noisy (thankfully we were the only ones there) but I can imagine it might be an issue if you don't know the other guests.
The distant views of Table Mountain from our balcony, the staff were helpful, the room very pleasant.
It was our honeymoon, and on our second night we were asked to change rooms to an inferior room due to a double booking. To be fair we were offered a free lunch, and a bottle of wine. Breakfast service was like watching paint try, but staff delightful.
Great Mountain biking, olive shops, café and winery all on the grounds of the B&B. Nice quite setting and the room was plenty big enough and had all the required things with a good level of cleanliness.
Staff struggled to smile or make us feel welcome with the exception of the lady who seemed to be the owner who we only saw once. The pool was also in a dreadful state and I wouldn't of dared to go in it. It was the only real disappointment to the visit.
The staff was really friendly and helpful, great landscape and good breakfast (in the restaurant which is also very nice for lunch).
The road is rather noisy and the pool was not ready to be used when we stayed.
One word- Impressed!!! Great value for money, I would recommend Oak Leaf Lodge to anyone. You wont be disappointed. Most stunning views of the wine lands and great service!!! The rooms was clean and neat. Breakfast was delicious. Truly breathtaking!
Nice and clean room
Pool was very dirty. Location is very quiet at night, almost nobody else was at Oakleaf Lodge. Breakfast was good but we didn't have much choice.
Table mountain view. Very tasty breakfast. Very comfy bed.
Difficult to change satellite channels on TV in room however did not expect to have a TV in the room so that was an unexpected bonus...
Staff Location Shower facilities Air Con
TV did not work Some areas was not cleaned properly Some Towels looked tacky Pool was not clean Furniture old fashioned and some looked run down
Lovely environment, very peaceful. Gardens are beautiful
Disappointed the pool was not available as it was not clean.
nice fireplace especially in winter, good choice of breakfast and central location for Kanonkop, Laibach, Simonsig and other wineries
in winter, the room was a bit cold, the wifi did not work in the room properly
Nice location and comfortable beds. Booking and dealing with reservation excellent and friendly.
Nothing in particular except the basin in our room was tiny, but I would rate it as average.
The mattresses were excellent and the breakfast too! Heated panels on when we returned after a stormy night out which was great!
Outside lights left on the entire night. Don't expect a fancy abode but all our needs were met!
Ik vond de gastvrijheid fantastisch
Alles was OK!
Very friendly staff Gorgeous rooms Big pool Great honesty bar Close to Stellenbosch Overall excellent
Would have been nice to have a mosquito net as there were lots of mosquitoes in the night!
Rooms. Very big and colonial. Felt very homely
Very quiet at night. Not much liveliness.
The noise of the main road
Uncomfortable bed in room 4.But the rest is excellent.
Great value for money!!!
Since it's not a hotel, there isn't someone there 24/7 to help with directions, reccomemdations. However, when she is there she is more than helpful and showed us plenty of things!
feeling of being in the country but still close to amenities
Loved the honeymoon suit. Great views from the bath tub. Loved the double shower. Great breakfasts.
Did not like the smell from the piggery down the valley. not your fault but how can one get around that awful smell. Found the security lights annoying at night. They shone straight in the window.
