More boutique feeling than many of the very commercial wine estates in the region The staff - the owner is lovely Incredible gardens Beautiful, individual rooms Antique touches and restored features give a very authentic feel
Unfortunately dinner was a little cold on our first night, but still tasty
Atmospheric and original place that looks like stolen from a romance movie. Delicious breakfast and good but a bit pricy dinner with average wines.
Restaurant was closed the second day for dinner and the WiFi only worked in some area, but anyway you shouldn't go to such a place to surf all day. It's way too nice for that.
Room quality, facilities, menu
Internet does not work.
great staff great atmosphere fantastic gardens great food
Not informed of load shedding. Had not water to get ready for function. Waited 15 min for breakfast unattended so left.
Beautiful grounds and location, nice quaint rooms (if slightly fussy), and lovely staff.
The food wasn't great - without a car, there's very limited options nearby so you have to eat at the hotel, and the food was decidedly average.
superb ambiance and food.
We had a nice room with a senic view. The dinner in the garden was romantic.
The place was not so small and personal, which I had hoped for
Tranquil location and great food
Very expensive compared to similar establishments in the Western Cape
superb food and ambiance, it surpassed our expectations.
Even our 'standard' bedroom had a 'wow' factor. Lovely room, comfy bed, fantastic bathroom. This was a return visit after 7 years - we really enjoyed it last time.
The food was not quite as hoped for- a wider choice would have been appreciated. Perhaps our expectations had been raised by the truly stunning gastro treats we had experienced in other vinyards during our stay in S. Africa. Please at least improve the coffee- easily fixed. Absence of wifi in our own room was a mild irritation, also easily corrected.
One of the most marvelous places we have seen.
The service was outstanding. And loved the super cute cottage I was staying in. Was the perfect spot for a blissful break!
Accommodation very tired Facilities not as stated for example no TV . Rated as 5 Star but only 2
It was beautiful, the decor was tasteful and just stunning. The location was fantastic, the food was delicious and the owner was so charming. We are definitely coming back here!
The dining experience underneath mature oak trees.
Very friendly staff, very comfortable bed, very beautiful location
Very pretty location with beautiful Cape Dutch buildings. Great breakfast and served until 11am!
Very old sagging matrasses with dip in the middle. Beds can't be made onto 1 large bed, there's a 10cm gap in the middle due to the bedframe. Shower drainage (room 5) couldn't handle the water so overflows onto the bathroom floor. My girlfriend asked for a bottle of white wine. Instead of being offered a wine-list the lady brought us a bottle and upon checking out we found out that this bottle happened to be the most expensive bottle on the list. Not very customer friendly!
