We had a nice room with a senic view. The dinner in the garden was romantic.

The place was not so small and personal, which I had hoped for

Even our 'standard' bedroom had a 'wow' factor. Lovely room, comfy bed, fantastic bathroom. This was a return visit after 7 years - we really enjoyed it last time.

The food was not quite as hoped for- a wider choice would have been appreciated. Perhaps our expectations had been raised by the truly stunning gastro treats we had experienced in other vinyards during our stay in S. Africa. Please at least improve the coffee- easily fixed. Absence of wifi in our own room was a mild irritation, also easily corrected.

Very pretty location with beautiful Cape Dutch buildings. Great breakfast and served until 11am!

Very old sagging matrasses with dip in the middle. Beds can't be made onto 1 large bed, there's a 10cm gap in the middle due to the bedframe. Shower drainage (room 5) couldn't handle the water so overflows onto the bathroom floor. My girlfriend asked for a bottle of white wine. Instead of being offered a wine-list the lady brought us a bottle and upon checking out we found out that this bottle happened to be the most expensive bottle on the list. Not very customer friendly!

the staff made the place. they were very helpful and the chef was very friendly. the meals were excellent served outdoors under the large old oak trees with lunch and afternoon tea available if required all served from delicate english porcelain..

Unfortunately the owner had died unexpectedly 12 months prior to our visit and it seemed as though the TLC had been lost as the place was not quite as clean as I would expect from a 5 star premises. the antique furniture was very nice but collected dust easily. Our cottage had lots of flies as it was close to the fruit farm and orchard.
