I asked for a double bed and receive two singles ones
Free shuttle frim the hotel to anywhere in a 3 kn radius
The Location of this place worked out really well for us, central location allowed us to walk to the waterfront (20 minute walk) and all the wonderf restaurants on Long and BreeStree. Staff was very attentive and helpful for whatever requests we had, certainly would go back. Good value for your money
the location, hotel is closer to everything.
Our room was not serviced until 4pm the following afternoon, and the breakfast especially ordered for runners leaving at 5am was not done.
The location in the middle of town is great. Breakfast, and rooftop bar was was very good. Staff were all very accomodating.
Rooms were a decent size. And very clean. Thank you.
Provided a smoking room despite clear request for non smoking. Was uncomfortable first evening
Having to leave
Location everywhere easy to get to.
Free wireless a bit unstable, but then again you dont go on holiday for wifi :-)
We loved the location of the hotel, which is within easy walking distance to where we wanted to be like Long Street, the Waterfront. The hotel offers a free shuttle for short trips within 3km radius, alternatively, there is a MyCity Bus Station less than 100 meters from the hotel entrance, so you could navigate the city easily. Renting a car is thus not required depending on your itinerary requirements. The size of the rooms which face the Tulbagh courtyard are superb. The rooms which face the mountain are much much smaller take note! Finally and most importantly, the staff are really a friendly bunch, loved the attention to detail and the can-do attitude of them all.
Poorly trained staff. We booked a parking space and no record was made. Breakfast haphazard and chilly 'hot' food options. Music echoes in the central atrium and is too loud from the pretty tasteless roof top bar. Rooms not serviced until mid afternoon and then not well.
The location is excellent. Close to Cape Town visitor hot spots. Beds very comfortable.
Breakfast was freezing cold and when we told member of staff they did nothing about this. We didn't get offered any tea or coffee and then a member of staff argued with us about whether breakfast was included in the room price. Also the shuttle bus is great when leaving the hotel to go somewhere but get a taxi home, we waited for thirty minutes to be picked up to then be told when we rang the hotel that we had already been collected.
The hotel is very clean and modern and bedroom was comfortable, clean and spacious
At check in I stated who we were and was told "wait I am checking your room". After 10 minutes and after two other couples had checked in I asked if we could check in and was told "Oh I thought you were part of the group". Then the a/c was not working. The maintenance man did not want to come up to the room and ended up turning it on by computer. The was hand basin waste pipe was blocked. Our meal was very poor. Cold tough meat. The worst I had for a long time. The restaurant ran out of beer and although beer was available from the roof top terrace bar they would not fetch it (eleven floors up) THe bed linen was dirty and full of hairs. It had to be changed 3 times before they got it right. The English breakfast was cold and needed reheating twice.and the restaurant staff were not bothered whether you were there or not.
Free Shettle to waterfront , amazing driver Memani. Helpful staff at the reception and at the roof bar . Great View from the roof bar, nice cocktail.
That I gi 1,000 rand discount, although very begrudgingly...
Very happy about the hotel location, that enabled us to visit nearly all tourists attractions /museums by walking from hotel.Nice and friendly staff.
The service received on check in after I confirmed that I was traveling and would check in late my booking was cancelled without attempting to contact me prior. They did manage to get me a room in the end which was suitable
The facilities and rooms were superb.
Poor quality of response to meal on first night, breakfast food often cool and bacon swimming in fat.
Very friendly and always willing to help staff, quality of main room, free internet.
Having been attracted to the hotel because of its roof top terace, I was extremely disappointed to find that on two evenings out of the three of my stay, I could not use it as it was hired out for private functions!
The staff, Especially the Bell boy.
1. Noise: Our room was on the 10th floor, right underneath a rooftop bar. We could hear everything: loud music late in the evenings, moving chairs and tables early in the mornings when stuff was preparing the bar/restaurant. 2. Stuff: We planned to rent a car for one day so we wanted to reserve a parking place. We tried to do it while checking in but we were told that it wasn't necessary. We didn't really belive it so we tried to reserve it once again one day before we had the car. We were told the same. When we came back from a day trip and wanted to park the car we were told that we should've made the reservation and there wasn't a free spot for our car. 3. In-room dinner: One evening, tired after the whole day of sightseeing, we decided to order dinner. They didn't have five or more things from their menu. Our meal arrived cold and it didn't taste good at all!
1. Location: Very close to a few bus stops and Civic Station from where all the buses go. Walking distance of many tourist attractions. 2. Room: big, very clean and very light with a big window and a quite air conditioner (but we couldn't adjust its settings). 3. View: a nice view of the city and Table Mountain. 4. Huge bed: There were two single beds when we arrived but it was changed to a large double bed a few minutes after we told stuff to do so. 5. Breakfast: We ate it once but it was very tasty. Many options to chose.
Excellent staff Nice room
Free one way transfer to V&A waterfront is quite convenient.
Cost R7k for 3 nights, each night was a different price depending on room availability, ranging from R3.5k to R1.2k..? Parking was extra, no meals included, and if you sit outside for breakfast you'll have a great view of a parking lot which stinks of urine...
The staff were friendly and accommodating.. The room was neat and clean..
The sheets of my bed where dirty the room service is not great had the waiter return to my room twice as she forgot a few things.
The location was excellent. They were very helpful. we like the courtesy driver, able to take us to waterfront and cruise ship.
The price could probably be less for the rooms provided. Lack of space in rooms and bathrooms is a bit of a turn off.
I like the design. The building on entering reception is very stylish and very clean with friendly staff. The rooms may not be spacious but the style and comfort make up for that. Privacy and security is immediately obvious when using the lifts and parking. I adore the excellent set up on 11th floor. Too classy. The bar, pool and diner with an open view overlooking most surrounding skyscrapers including Table Mountain side is the perfect setup.
