Score from 632 reviews Wonderful
staff from breakfast asking you allways to pay even when you had your credit card details with them
The car park sistem is very eficient
not a bad experience but the rooms should have a mini bar fridge especially for guests such as myself who spent 11 days at the hotel.
the friendliness and efficiency of the staff. location.
The facility was NOT up to par
Yazeed was very kind and nice and the service was good by the employees
Their breakfast area is too small for all the occupants staying there, so there was always a long wait in the mornings for a table. No hot cereal like Jungle Oats or porridge for the kids for breakfast. No cutlery in the rooms, not even spoons to eat yoghurt.
Wifi was poor. No refrigerator in the room.
room was good. But no refrigerator.
The number of beggars, particularly children as one left the hotel building. The bathroom was very small and cramped.
The only problem was the small bathroom. Getting in and out of it was problematic as the door opened almost touching the lavatory so you have to squeeze around it to get out.
We loved the central location, overlooking an atractive square with a market open during the day and surrounded by places to go for breakfast and listen to local musicians. Only a few blocks to Long St for restaurants, bars and live music at night.
We were not told that breakfast was a separate enterprise, nor that we hadnt paid for it, despite ticking the box on the booking form. The food was poor quality (cheap processed cheese, leathery bacon, stale fruit juice) and the 'bistro' management was rude and unhelpful. They also gave us a the wrong bill, (initially they undercharged) . It was only at that point that we were told we had a continental option!
An exciting location beside a wonderful African craft market; cheap valet parking expertly run in a place where parking is usually very difficult; a wonderful cosmopolitan buzz; very good overnight accommodation and a lap pool on the roof with an uniQualitympded view of Table mountain.
There was a day I wasn't sure my room got cleaned. Beds were made but dustbin wasn't emptied so...only reason I didn't score higher.
The rooms were comfortable and the staff were great and helpful.
bathroom was minute
location and friendly staff
Car parking was a small inconvenience
Enjoyed the facilities and quality
The free Wifi was pathetic. If you could get onto it then you were privaliged; however, once on it took 45mins to get a Messenger message to send and then another 45mins to re-establish the connection so that you could read the reply
Customer service - they went out of their way to return the satellite system so that we could watch the 6 Nations Rugby. £8 for exceptional value for breakfast.
I had to pay seperately for parking and was not told there was a valet service which parked the car three blocks away. so as a woman I was walking three blocks by myself at late hours of the night and the hotel still charged me for the valet service yet I did not use it
Did not like look of attentiveness of bar staff, slow service and long waiting times for food
Food nothing special and breakfast more expensive than restaurants in square
Comfy room and clean
We were there for 11 nights and could have done with more wardrobe space. Not being a spring chicken, the ladder in the pool was rather daunting!
The service was very good and the friendliness was exceptional. I would like to mention them all but will restrict myself to Goodman, Jonathan and Melinda. The location was 1A. Although the bathroom is small, the shower is spacious.
No Internet in room bathroom door opens inward making it difficult to get in and out of.
Location, friendly staff
you have to pay extra for everything: parking (70 Rand per day), wifi, breakfast. our car was damaged by someone (maybe the guy who parked it?) but there was apology or support to find out how damaged the car. all the staff at the reception is extremely unpolite, unmotivated and unfriendly.
location, cleanliness, nice rooms
Terrible smell in the bathroom.
Good location and friendly staff
This was the only place I've ever stayed at that charged a parking fee!!
Staff at reception were friendly and helpful.
What was there not to like?
I found the restaurant especially well run and the food excellent to taste and presented well. Would do it again sometime.
Some members of staff were not polite to some extent!
Restaurant, room and bar.
THERE WAS NO HOTEL SHUTTLE WE USED A PRIVATE TAXI
The first room we were booked in was dirty. We had to be moved to a makeshift bed. The breakfast expensive and nothing special about it. The most inconvenience is that every time you hsve to go out you should book your car out of the parking. Noise in the morning given iys proximity to the flea market is unbearable.
