Located in the leafy suburb of Durbanville, Pelican Place offers self catering cottages with patios. Just a 20-minute drive away from Table Mountain, it features an outdoor pool and barbecue facilities. Pelican Place Guest Cottages has spacious cottages, elegantly decorated with wooden furniture and tiled floors. Each unit has a private entrance, ironing facilities and a private bathroom with a hairdryer. A full English or Continental breakfast is served daily upon request, and there is an excellent variety of restaurants and cafés in the surrounding area. Guests can also prepare their meals in the privacy of their cottage. You can choose from a variety of activities, including golf, tennis and hiking. Younger guests can use the playground or relax in the garden. Victoria and Alfred Waterfront is a 20-minute drive away, and Cape Town International Airport is only 15 km. There was NO aircon or ventilation in the bedroom or bathroom. The window in the bedroom opened onto a closed passage with NO air coming into the bedroom and the bathroom had no window either only a fan extractor fan. For R650 was over price and not worth staying there.

It was very centrally located Geyser was not switched on so we had to wait 4 warm water. Some of the cups were sticky with old dust. We did book only a few hours before arrival but would expect these little issues to be addressed

The spa bath :-) But it's open to all Online advertising states the spa bath is in the room Online advertising also states breakfast is included which is was not.

The room was large and spacious, the people could not do enough to please. It is close to town and in a quiet location. The breakfasts served in the room were good. Two of the windows could not be closed and the resulting cold draft on my side of the bed was unpleasant. The front door lock did not work properly. The wiring did not look safe. The cooker hob was dirty and looked as if it had not been cleaned after the last guests. The sofa was hard.

It was a cold day when we arrived. There were several windows open in the room and no heating on. It would have been much more preferable to arrive to a warm cosy room rather than a cold one with inadequate heating that never warmed the place up for the duration of our stay despite being on constantly. We had to ask for an extension lead to plug the electric blanket in. This should have been already connected as the owner was so keen to tell us of the blankets existance.
