Elevators ate are bit slow and few
Actually really love the place- staff very accommodating and rooms spectacular
Front desk people can be more friendly than business like
Breakfast great and staff serving are friendly and helpful. Foods also fresh. I enjoyed my Rye bread
Dreadfully noisy on Friday and Saturday nights. Internet access was variable. The business centre did not have a functioning printer and staff could not resolve the problem. The pool was in the shade and not as the picture indicates (penthouse pool and not the main pool)
The staff were unbelievably helpful and made every attempt to assist. In particular the transport staff agreed to drop me off at slightly different locations nearby the standard route. They were quite delightful.
-Windows were not sound proof, you cannot sleep with the noise coming from long street, parties going on till 5 am in the morning. They provide ear plugs if you complain. -Dirty stained pillows/bedsheets. -Breakfast tables/cutlery dirty. -No privacy using the bathroom, glassed and doesn't properly close, if you are travelling with a colleague on a business good luck using the bathroom. -Lifts don't work properly, good luck waiting 45 min to get to the 12th floor.
-Driver who picked us from the Airport very professional. -Staff smiling
Too many présure to pay on advance !! Booking .com sécurité not avaible! Bank transfert neededl!!!!!
The hotel is misrepresented and is a poor facsimile of what is represented in its brochure
The staff are very pleasant
TV did not work properly. Room telephone did not work. No turndown service on second night.
Good location. Nice rooms and well appointed. Staff a little stand-offish, particularly at reception.
the nightclub outside played loud music until after 3 am, so I didn't sleep much.
the room and the staff
Had to wait very long for someone to sweep/vacuum. Room was available but hadn't been vacuumed.
Room available well before regular check in time
1. Waiting for Lifts 2. Courtesy bus always full 3. Tiny pool 4. Daughter had to sit behind door to get wifi reception
Great Staff and great breakfast
Its not up tp standards for the money worth.never recommend it to any one.the hotel is very nice must say
The unfriendly staff and linen not changed daily. The food at room service was also not the best.
The view from the room
The elevator is such a pain. Whoever designed those elevators does not deserved to work in the elvator industry The kitchen had no utensils?? Glasses, dishes, pans. What is the purpose of having a kitchen if there are no utensils?
Great staff, modern hotel, excellent breakfast, great parking, excellent location, AMAZING VIEWS!!!! Definitely recommended
The noise from Long Street There was no bathroom mats on the floor Also maid didn't place bottled water in our room
Lounge area Spacious apartments Free Bottle of Wine
The room service often forgot to restock the soap or our robes. There was a weird noise in the bathroom. The fridge door seemed like it was not well placed. The TV quality was horrible. The tv controller did not work.
The reception was friendly. The bathroom and the bed were wonderful. The kitchen had a full stove. The hotel was at a great location.
Just a really bad experience even though the staff was very friendly. This was the most expensive and worse hotel during our 3week stay in South Africa. The rooms are Ok, even though not sharming at all, and we had a horrible view even though we paid for a suite, and there was a bad smell in the toilet. We where albe to change to a bit better room the day after though. In the night we could not sleep due to lots of sound from steet and smell of smoke from the air conditioning(or similar). There where dirty/greasy glass windows all over the hotel. The breakfast was really not nice. I noticed they served same old cheese pieces with yellow hard edges day after day.
The staff who helped us book golf corts, taxis etc.
Way too expensive not worth the price even for peak season Breakfast is average Tiny swimming pool Wifi didn't work well
Comfort Location : quite central Rooms are spacious enough, clean, can have a nice view on Lion's Head mountain
Shuttle pick up on New Years eve was non existant.
Very good sized rooms with plenty of space. Attentive and helpful staff. Excellent breakfasts!,
It was a classy hotel
Noisy location Poor lifts 2 lifts to get to the room Poor cleaning service Poor towels Dirty towels Broken couch Very loud location Bad air conditioning in rooms
We were not allowed in the breakfast area with our morning slippers on due to hygiene reasons which we respected only to find someone of a different race wearing similar slippers in the breakfast area the following morning. We feltdiscriminated against and disappointed at the preferential treatment other races received.
We went on a romantic weekend with a bit of partying. We had a pleasent stay with easy access to all our points of interest
1) The venue has a fabulous location and rises up above Long Street that is the good news the bad news is that they have not invested in double glazing so the all night noise from Long Street venues is INTENSE to put it mildly. Even a raver needs some sleep but actually the noise level on the 14th floor (1406) was in a word "impossible" to sleep with. 2) Cape Town is fast overpricing itself (for both the local and overseas market) because it is not a mature enough market to charge such a heavy premium for 3 to 4 star facilities when it is so distant a destination for foreigners to get to. Many local travellers find much CPT hotel pricing way out of their reach. This venue is good but not so good as to cost what it does compared to other quality 5 Star Venues in the Mother City.
The location is excellent and the facilities are ok.
We were on the 11th floor and still got very little sleep from the night clubs situated on Long St. They go on till around 4am then the patrons hang around shouting etc till around 6am! Stay on the opposite side of the building to Long street and I think you will have a better time.
Very plush, great pool, awesome breakfast. Huge two bedroom suite, great view of Table Mountain
The Internet was a little unstable, but only for a few minutes.
I booked the hotel and then started reading the reviews after I had made the booking. By the time I had finished I was already thinking about changing the hotel, everything seemed pretty awful, right down to the lack of air conditioning in the lift ! Well honestly ! The hotel is in a great location right next to a street full of bars and restaurants. The area is safe and clean and tidy. The hotel rooms are very comfortable with really comfortable beds and nice modern decor. The small mini kitchen didn't have any pans or anything, but hey we are staying in a hotel not a rented apartment and with the local food so good, who would want to cook ?
Poor Wireless Internet, Room 603 where we were staying is on a street that is full of Bars, Nightclubs and restaurants, so very loud music on Friday and Saturday nights till 5.30am!!!!!!
Very Clean and Tidy, Great staff and everyone very Helpful. The food and Bar was really good, as was the Valet Service
