Mossel Bay is a beautiful city, not overcrowded, it makes a perfect vacation to relax and recharge. The only challenge is public transport, Uber & Bolt are almost non-existent, it's mostly private taxis that you have to call and they are always busy, making the waiting time a bit longer. I would recommend you come with your own car or you hire one, you'll enjoy the place even more without transport inconveniences.
Overall, it's a beautiful place with more than enough to offer visitors.

Charming with some lovely boutique shops.
Charming with some lovely boutique shops. At the far end a great hiking opportunity around st Blaize point followed by a refreshing dip in the sea gully. Unfortunately couldn’t do the zip line as it was too windy. Nor the shark diving for the same reason.
Great padel court on the sea front.
Great bagels at jacks on the Main Street
Dinner at gannet was good.
Amazing bbq in the harbour and very reasonable.
Try the oyster shots next door.
Don’t visit the aquarium!

Visiting the ATKV near by in Hartenbos has great facilities for both adults and children. A visit to the Langeberg Mall is a must to shopping and dining.
A visit to Diaz Beach with its long stretch of white sand and a visit to the Zipline which is the biggest over the ocean in the whole world at the Point is a must

Lots to see and do here.
Lots to see and do here. We managed to do the Point of Human Origins tour with the added bonus of seeing the Mosaic Tunnel Project currently underway - would love to come back and see it finished, and visited the Dias Museum Complex in the little time we had here. Great little restaurants down by the harbour!
I loved our stay at Villa palmera. The room and garden were beautiful. Our hostess, Andrea, went above and beyond, she is part of the tourism board in Mossel bay. The room was decked out with fresh lavender, comfortable robes to use, complementary coffee and tea. It was one of the nicest home stays we had in South Africa. Location was perfect. Great options for food and activities in the area. We splurged at the Wagyu steak restaurant and went on the amazing Zipline. So stop at Mossel bay and stay here!
Wow.. that’s big question don’t know from where to start here. Aqua house is more than just a guest house, the couple run it like a 5 stars hotel!
I had to change my booking date on the very last minute and they did it for me.. quiet flexible.
Everything you need is just there. Rooms are quiet big and beautifully decorated, Mitchel and Liz are very friendly. The breakfast is delicious and I have had one of the best conversations with Mrs.Liz. If i ever come back to SA I’m definitely passing by :)
My friends and I enjoyed having drinks and braaing on the barbeque area while watching the sunset. The place has such breath taking views. The apartment was absolutely stunning and very neat and our host was very nice too,we were getting lost and he was happy to stay with us on the phone while giving us directions and allowed us to check out late since we wanted to do Ziplining.I would book the place again if I have to come back to Mossel Bay
This was the 2nd time here and thoroughly enjoyed the self catering apartment and especially the location. I went with my whole family and inlaws and staff accommodated to have all four apartments next to each other. On the 3rd day, I also enjoyed some pampering at the beauty salon at the hotel. Kids loved the waterpark which is in walking distance. Would definately come again December.
The unit is located right on the beach. The views of the ocean and the sound of the waves are incredible. It is close to all the attractions in Mossel Bay.
Everything in the unit is new and of high quality. It was exceptionally clean when we arrived.
We booked for the Ironman 70.3 event, so the location - right at the swim start - was ideal!
Location was great. Everything though of in the house. Kitchen full of the things to make a super meal. Parking close. It is a closed secured area, private door to the walk on the beach. Great overall experience. Very safe and high standard. TV had Netflix, this is very good comparing to other places we have been.
The room was spacious and everything we needed was available in the room.
On arrival and departure the staff were very friendly and helpful.
We would definitely like to stay there again the surroundings gave us a real holiday vibe/experience.
Thanks Point Village Hotel and Self Catering 👍
The view the breakfast the cold swim the staff who was helpful , the owner made sure I was ok, even when they had load shedding it will always be the spot to be , I am working on a project at work and will always come back the point Hotel value for money and staff is super friendly
The hotel has an elevated position in Mossel Bay with a fantastic view from the veranda which is where breakfast is served.
The whole experience at this hotel was excellent, the management and staff were very friendly and helpful. We were sorry that our stay was only for one night.
The quietness in the evenings with the sounds of frogs and crickets were awsome.
Woken up by the sound of guinea-fowl was just as nice.
Although not on the beach front, access to beaches and shops were easy and quick.
The property is well equiped and comfortable.
Lovely clean modern apartment, fabulous view, comfortable beds, adequate shower, centrally situated, conveniently restaurants & supermarket in the same centre. Great instructions to access the place. All in all very nice stay would love to return to Mossel Bay.
We stayed in a royal suite and it was so beautiful, with lots of old train details preserved. The view on the beach is spectacular and the unit had a lovely balcony to sit on. We did not eat our breakfast so cannot comment on that.
