The people working in the hotel and the food were really good and it was a good overall experience. We got a room and it appeared that it was the wrong room, so we had to move out to a smaller room with no balcony, which was not as nice cause we have two small ababies and it would have been great to have the outdoor space...

The hotel decor is great - open and airy. The big windows allow the great scenery to flood into the public areas. The hotel is well situated on the outskirts of the town. Breakfast on the first morning was a little tired looking (at approx 9h30) and in need of replenishment - which did happen just I think the staff should have been on it sooner.

I registered at reception having prepaid by credit card via the internet and was disappointed that none of the reception staff (except the porter) attempted to address me in afrikaans I am sure that you have many afrikaans speaking customers and would like to respond to an attempt to be communicated with in our preferred language - after all we do pay good money for the accommodation and contribute to the hotel's profitability' Next time I would rather go to a bed and breakfast next door or elsewhere - Clarens have an abundance all over town.

Thwe hotel was conveniently situated, clean & the staff were friendly & curtious. The price of the breakfast was rediculous. The food was acceptable but not great, but the price of r145 per person meant that we would not eat at the hotel again.

The mountain view from our comfortable room. Clarens is an ideal way station en route to Lesotho, and there was an art festival just starting while we were there. We were missing a fridge in the room. We had a very pleasant dinner, but the choice at the buffet could have been bigger.

Attentive and friendly staff. Good location in Clarens. Liked the hotel design (modern and appealing) Airconditioner was somewhat noisy. Somewhat unconventional to have a shower in the bedroom itself.
