Score from 502 reviews Very good
Hotel is well situated. The dining room staff where extremely pleasant and very helpful. Reception staff were very pleasant.
Problem with the shower. Bath tap broken. No dish towel, but kitchen facility. complimentary tea and coffee not replaced until we asked 4 days later. Cars drive at ridiculous speed in parking garage. In our opinion very dangerous and should be addressed.
Breakfast and location
Dark corridors, kitchen poorly equipped, bad coffee, weak wifi.
Room is more like one is at home in terms of functionality. Very modern.
Extremely warm hospitality which I have not seen during my travels be it even overseas.
The toilet & bathroom switch was not individually connected but to the bathtub area which was with the bedroom. This was very disturbing when the light had to be switched on during the night or early hours of the morning to visit the toilet. The light disturbed the sleep of the sleeping occupant. The bathroom did not contain a shelf to keep a toiletry bag. The bathroom being a high risk area to slip & there was not a hand rail to clutch in an accidental slip considering a glass wall enclosed the bathroom on 3 sides. Anonymous
Staff members were professional in all ways.
Charges for transportation that was not specified prior to checkout.
Comfort, nice, near the mall,
The staff at Colloseum were very friendly and happy to help esp. The reception and breakfast staff. A great place to stay with kids since Ratanga junction and canal walk are ao close! Will definaty return!!
House keeping and laundry were a bit slow.. No towels on some mornings!
The Wi-Fi code/ password they supplied did not work at all. The waiters during breakfast were not up to standard.
Friendly staff and clean. Incredible breakfast.
The corridors and our room were very dark, so that you get a Feeling of a prison. No stay again.
Reception was friendly & efficient. Housekeeping staff was so friendly. Penthouse luxury apartment was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms were spotless. The turn down & chocolates when we returned to room , was a pleasant surprise. We had an amazing view of Table Mountain. The best was the breakfast.Huge variety - cold & warm, delicious food. The chef Veon was an excellent host. Seeing to all our needs, checking to see if the buffet needed refill. Such a positive attitude from the staff. Will definitely book again.
Toilet had no door to close, quite uncomfortable when your partner is sleeping a few metres away
Lovely size room and bed very well serviced Location for shopping ideal Cost of transport to centre of Cape Town more than compensated by the lower prices (less than 50%) compared to central hotels of same quality Excellent breakfast included
Some of the furnishings "fraying at the edges" Common areas, especially corridors, had a slightly dowdy feeling
The acomodation was very nice, breakfast excelent and the kitchen facilities useful.
The location was not very good, you need to drive quite a bite to central area of Cape Town, what was bad idea at traffic times.
The upgrade to a penthouse apartment was a pleasant surprise. Thank you very much.
I liked the hotel room set up. The breakfast was very good. I liked that it was a full breakfast and not just continental breakfast. The food was very good as well.
I had to ask for wash cloths to be placed in my room nightly (I feel this should be in the room already). The temperature of my room was changed from the setting I placed when I first entered the room. I had to place a special comment on my room to avoid this setting changed again by the cleaning staff. House keeping kept throwing away the shower caps and other items we had hung up (I thought housekeeping was only supposed to trash things left on the floor so I was surprised at this b/c these items were neatly hung).
It is the first time that we stay in this hotel and we would come back anytime. Location is great. Rooms are clean and spacious (ideal for a mother with two young children). The staff is great.
Stayed at hotel one night stopover as flying out of cape town next day location is good for this and large shopping mall with restaurants was close by, free secure parking.
Poor wifi and very badly designed shower and toilet area.
I was booked for 2 days at the hotel.Saturday Morning I was propose to in the executive suite by my new Fiance...got back from a wedding we attended on that day and found rose petals leading to the bedroom,a dessert written congratulations, massage oils aswell as a champagne bottle on the table awaiting us to enjoy....Thank you for making my evening soooo special with the little things that were done for us.Needless to say whenever we are in Cape Town that will be our hotel of choice from now on.
Bedroom separated from the kitchen and lounge is marvellous
No variety of food during breakfast
Not much.... Maybe the breskfast to be fair
Cleanliness of both rooms. Poor utilization of space in the rooms. Aircons mot properly operational. Doors in second room, not properly sound/ wind proof. Internet not smpothly accessed.
breakfast was excellent, they went the extra mile with halaal meal.thankyou colosseum
The rooms are very neat and spacious! Staff bery helpful and friendly.
Location, staff and the luxurious room.
The view from my room was not the best.
We liked everything about the hotel. The staff is great.
