I was upgraded to an executive suite and it was amazing - better than the photos. I only wish that my family could have been there to share it with me. Parking area is very small and cramped.

The staff is friendly, responsive and helpful. I had an incident with laundry service, and the assistance was immediate, and above reproach. The design is tacky, the rooms are small, and the in-room shower (including in the superior rooms) is a poor idea. The buffet breakfast is not particularly good.

Room service was the best. Also the milkshake they make is the best what ever it was that i ordered. The staff 100% the way they communicate as my friend lost her phone and the staff were helpfull till we found the phone as we misplaced it. On internet your view of hotel looks as if one is outside pool area can see the sea.

It is very hip and the staff are super friendly. The design is forward thinking and the "wit" into the ambience is fantastic. The view of Table Mountain is beautiful to wake up to. The food is relly good but abit pricey. The restaurants are beautiful and love the outdoor Koi pool one can view from the inside. It has the feel of 5 star but rates 3 ( i believe it is because it is not on the beach.) Location is good for downtown shopping and the markets. Truly i would recommend this place to everyone! I wish the" hop on - hop off " bus stop was closer. I would advise the hotel to make the outdoor pool deck longer as one could then sit right outside instead of indoors or on the ledge. Free internet is not long enough it is only 100mb per day.

The one thing that inmediatly called our attention was the decoration and design, everywhere we went we spotted something unique and extraordinary. The day we arrived we were told we would get a complimentary upgrade and they put us in a suite, we were amazed! Staff is extremely kind and polite, we had a wonderful experience at this hotel.

Hotel was generally good. Location in Gardens area, near City Bowl, is convenient, although immediate surroundings are not quite picturesque. Staff was OK in general. Bed was large and comfortable. Room small, not convenient, and I hit my head several time on fancy 'design' lamp while dealing with my luggage. Package didn't include breakfast: instead and in addition, hotel offered a very expensive breakfast, which would have cancelled the benefit derived from the relatively low rate for the room. Fortunately, there are plenty of good places for breakfast along the next street. WIFI in the room was "hesitant" (disconnections). Fancy design of the hotel is funny at first but, in our view, not very successful: apparent originality doesn't necessarily translate into talent. Sometimes results in inconvenience (eg, dark lifts, curtains not working properly...). Staff offered an expensive taxi to the airport (Rands 120 over what we actually paid for a good standard taxi).

Great staff, great milkshakes, free capuchino in the morning, fun toilets and lifts, good location. Your kitchen had a problem one night and so you were doing repairs at 1am in the morning and making large banging noises. Not acceptable at all - people are at your hotel to sleep more than they are to eat, so let us sleep even if you dont fix the kitchen in time for breakfast!

Room was nicely decorated, clean, cool and modern and big enough for two. Had beautiful Table Mountain view and quiet location though locates in center of downtown. Breakfast was acceptable but not value for money. Bit far to shopping area I.E. Waterfront.

We liked the lobby and bar. Our room did not have the heater but they changed the room to a bigger room without extra charge which we have to appreciate.

Excellent location & friendly staff. Rooms were very clean. Our towels were not replaced on our second night's stay. Our room door was open after we had been to the room and closed the door behind us one evening. Nothing was missing however, after reporting it to hotel staff, no one bothered to get back to us. On our second night"s stay we ordered room service which after 1 and a half hours had still not arrived! We only ordered 2 bottled waters, plate of chips & a milkshake...my boyfriend had to go downstairs to enquire. They had still not placed our order! This too was not dealt with in the correct manner. The hotel was also out of stock of ice cream on our first night, so they couldn't make the milkshakes they are famous for nor any of the desserts which required ice cream. They were also out of certain alcohol spirits to make cocktails. Even though its the busy season this should not justify running out of easy-to-obtain stock.

The feeling I got was cool, funky, comfortable, relaxed. The hotel has unique features which was very well thought through. Every thing has been strategically positioned with lots of details but most importantly it makes sense in the big picture. The hotel is geared for young and old who is attracted to colour and creativity. The restaurant service is slow.

Staff extremely friendly and efficient. Bed comfortable. Pool pleasant and water was warm. Didn't like the fact there was no bath! There was a drain odour that seeped into the room when we and others used the shower. There was nowhere to hang up wet towels. It was difficult to get out of the swimming pool using the steps.

Nice location, stylish, excellent bar downstairs. Rooms, even the superior category are extremely small. If you have two big suitcases, you're already in trouble. The staff is nice and friendly but we had to deal with the manager because the shower did not work and he let us wait for a whole morning before he took some actions (unsuccesfull) and eventually moved us to another room.
