We liked the design of the resort, the chalets, the location of the restaurant and the view that we had from the bar while having o cocktail.
We did not like the breakfast we had at the restaurant, we had an aftertaste of reused oil, also the restaurant was out of certain products when we had diner and the waiters that served us where not aware of it.
The staff was so friendly and accommodating from the management right down to the security personell and cleaning ladies. U just feel at home.
The monkey woke us very early in the morning playing on the roof ha ha ha. I know there's nothing that can be done about that 'cos honestly it's their home as well they just having fun.
nature atmosphere. pool ,beach location, friendly staff, restaurant service
poor menu as some what I would think could be your signiture dishes was not available although placed on the menu
Th only down is the staff cleaning times and time spend on cleaning the units
Everything was great! Accommodation, Food, Staff (The young barman Hennie at the Sundowner Bar served everyone with a friendly attitude no matter how busy he was. He mixed fantastic cocktails! He's a keeper! Great service)
The steps down to the beach need some work, but I believe that they are going to fix it.
1. Location: Close to nature and CBD. 2. Putt - putt course was challenging.
1. Family was split during our stay (2 units for 4 adults, parents and two children). 2. No involvement in other leisure activities (cruises, 4x4 trails, birding etc.)
The property is nestled in a perfect quiet area, the reception staff gave us a 5 star treatment rooms and chalets were well cleaned daily by friendly staff members.
Restaurant staff taking too long to serve food, swimming pool not well taken care off.
The log cabin effect of the unit. The units were sufficiently separate from each other. There was under cover parking
The restaurant staff were not very jacked up. Many items requested were not available due to stock not been ordered. They were not very attentive to customer service.
The area was very nice, I enjoyed their private beach and the sundowner deck.
The service was not up to scratch and the rooms had a few problems and they had to move us to other rooms after a long time of complaining, I won't be recommending the place to anyone.
The lodge overall very clean. The pool. The environment. Friendly staff. I loved bed
I couldn't connect on wifi
Privacy & sea view
Not to meet Frank
Very peaceful and homely
Location very nice Enjoyed Bar and restaurant Facilities very good
Furniture in lounge a bit outdated. All staff except restaurant staff very helpful.
We attended a wedding at the venue and it was incredible. Our room was walking distance from the reception. We saw crocodiles on the lake.
Imvubu lodge didn't make our booking, they blamed booking.com, but when checking out I saw the email that they received the booking. They didn't listen to our additional requests. A monkey tried to get into our room in the night. The receptionist on check-in was patronising. We didn't receive ice-creams in our room like all other guests
Internet access and Cell phone reception not good at all. Bit frustrating.
A bath in the other bathroom would have helped as we had a 1 year old and was a bit difficult bathing in a shower.
Everything about the hotel was fantastic, never seen such beaity before.
The cabins are set-up in a tranquil forest
The room was too small and the TV was outdated
Nice and quiete
Could not say there was anything to like per se.... adequate was about it.
I booked this place specifically because on Booking.com it stated there was WiFi in all rooms. When I booked in - I was told there was none. Chalet was still being cleaned when we arrived...30 mins after stated booking in time. Floors were gritty to walk on. Hairdryer did not work, fridge had not been wiped out, tea not replenished. When it came time to pay... they requested 200 rand more than the stated price with Booking.Com..... It was all just poorly done!
Good location and good hospitality for a getaway
Need to improve on TV channels
Extremely small bedroom Very poor lighting
The beautiful surroundings as well as the clean and comfortable unit. Also the peace and quite of the place. a Very nice and comfortable bed with fresh , clean linen. The office staff was very efficient , quick and friendly when booking in.
When we try to shower the first night, we found that the coldwater tap was broken. The handyman could not fix it the following day and we had to move to another unit. It was not handled very nicely and with any sympathy. They let us feel as if it was our mistake, especially the white gentleman that was with the handyman the second time when they say we must move to another unit. The problem is not the broken tap or the fact that we had to move but the way it was handled. The only other thing that was a problem for us was the very small tv set in the second unit.
The monkeys can be a problem
