Super comfortable beds & luxurious linen. Exactly what you want in an airport hotel. Windows really were soundproof. Excellent rain shower. Funky decor in the hotel & nice common areas to relax. Coffee on tap was a nice touch.

Second night there were lots of doors banging in the corridor all night long. We were told it was due to a specific group. No mini-bar/ fridge in the room.

Rooms were nice and clean. The hotel had a very nice overall design and looked very chic, quite nice actually!

I made the reservation for 3 individual persons and used my credit card to book the room...I specifically noted that each individual was to pay for their rooms upon arrival. This did not happen and in actuality the hotel charged my card for all 3 rooms the day before we arrived. I informed the staff of this and they did not respond at all. Also this is the 4th hotel I have stayed at around the OR Tambo Airport and the only one that charged me an additional 250 Rand to have transportation back to the airport and they said it was because I had to be at the airport at 3am, yet all of the other 3 were more than hospitable on getting me to the airport with no additional charge. And to top it off when I left they only gave me a receipt for my single room charge instead of all three, which again they were not supposed to do and the staff refused to budge on my original complaint of charging my card before arrival for all three rooms! I will not stay here again and have advised my colleagues to avoid this hotel. Which is sad because overall it is a nice hotel, but I and my colleagues travel twice a month through Johannesburg for business and we will not stay here again!

The design and theme of a warehouse is very appealing.

Modern clean room - also no noise intrusion from airport Breakfast buffet very complete, but..... &Quot;Industrial" decor of public spaces, but especially Aero map of region in flooring detail!

Restaurant staff in evening completely disinterested in client - too busy chatting and laughing as a social group to be bothered with a mere guest!! Breakfast buffet overpriced Thought it odd to make a charge to Card at Registration before any service taken or rendered, why not simply Swipe for security??

Flexibility to check in as early as 08h00 for frequent fliers, although it is normally 14h00.

I asked to be prepared a room well in advance, but I had to wait another 2.5hrs because the linen was not ready. I was tired, sick and needed an urgent rest after a long flight.

Air conditioning - quiet and efficient room service - efficient and non-threatening/invasive comfortable beds superb breakfast wifi - fast - could sream radio international power sockets in rooms reliable and handy shuttle to airport friendly and efficient staff, except the room cleaners

- Receiving an email from Booking.com saying I hadn't checked out when I had, and then not receiving a reply to the email that I sent explaining that I had checked out. - booked a room with booking.com only to find when I arrived at the hotel that the booking had not gone through. having to pay for wifi above a certain MB narrow and slightly claustrophobic room

Rooms are noisy - can hear neighbours as well as any noise in corridor. Television was not tuned properly and has a very limited range of channels. The evening buffet dinner was terrible. Particularly the main course was dreadful - dried pieces of fried fish, overdone dry beef "rolls" and mushy overcooked vegetables. No value for money at all. Could have a very good steak meal at a decent restaurant for a similar price.

The close location to the airport, across from the terminal, but separated by a highway.

Lack of information on transfer to the airport. Reluctance to provide us with a room upon our arrival at 7:00am. The room had not been in use the night before, but we had to wait about 1 hour. As another guest said, "they have a procedure".

Secure parking.

Open bathroom . Furniture rathe scratched and tired. Very poor quality duvets with lumpy filler and nor pockets so uncomfortable - cheap. Lobby coffee machine not working or available.

Is near the airport, facilities with the free shuttle. Practic ,simple but confotable enough for a short time. Very good breakfast, and staff efficient.

I was very impressed by the effort you made for us as a honeymoon couple. We really appreciated the rose petals and desert platter. Was lovely.

..The fact that my reservation made with booking.com had not reached the hotel by the time I arrived. Apparently the booking would have been delivered to the hotel chain's central reservation departmemt but they only add these to their systems during business hours. Fortunately the hotel still had some rooms for us.. but could quite easily not have...despite booking.com issuing us a confirmed reservation. This is simply not acceptable!

Proximity to the airport and the room was cosy.

Insincerity of staff. They asked to put up a deposit of 600 rands to cater for any damage just to be told when I was checking out that I had used it all on the internet. Nobody even went to check for any damages that means they wanted to ensure that I didnt get my refund. I found that to be outright theft and would hate staying at Protea again.

Not enough towels in the roomand the shuttle only runs untill 22:30

Location near airport. Clean rooms, pleasant dining area.

Staff got reservations mixed up with another guest. Wasted a lot of time sorting it out at time of checkout. Hotel brochure does not give clear driving instructions from airport and very confusing at night with poor signage. The aviation theme is clever but a bit "over the top."

Good design and decent amenities for the price.

Some staff can be disorganized and apathetic towards providing quality service to guests.
