the room was comfortable , the bed just the way i like it for the business traveler it had and met all my requirements. the breakfast was excellent, the pastries to die for and the service cannot be faulted all in all the hotel was great and i would recommend it to any traveler business or leisure
Friendly staff Good Location Good Tourism & Travel Desk Information Clean and Confortable rooms We speciall thank to Duty Manager William for all his help!!
The location was ideal, reception staff very helpful. Hotel was clean and comfortable.
The lady at the help desk for tours etc was not very helpful. She seems to concentrate mainly on tours for flight staff you use the hotel. On the one morning when we managed to see her, we asked about table mountain and if it was an ideal day. She said it was a perfect day to view CT frm the mountain, however when we got there it was clouded over.
Too basic to be categorised in 4 star category. We were allotted a room on 6th floor where the external glazings did not have good acoustic closure resulting in too much of noise from sea gulls!
The location (proximity to the beach) was the only good part.
1) The corridors were smelly. 2) The carpet in the corridor was worn out. 3) In the room, the carpet and linen had spots and was very worn out. 4) AC had an issue which we had to get fixed at the cost of our precious holiday time. 5) At check-in the staff was not polite at all. 6) House-keeping staff never replaced toiletries on their own, we had to ask for it every time. 7) Not all lamp bulbs were working and another one stopped working during our stay.
Comfort of the spacious room as well as the view of the ocean
The late admittance to the room.
The morning staff at breakfast were excellent. They were extremely friendly. They were good to my baby, played with her and gave me a chance to enjoy my breakfast... We had good room and house keeping services... The view from my room was good, although would've preferred a better view...
The one thing I didn't like was that when I used the glasses for water, n I would return after the whole day, my glass would be kept in the spot I left it in... Sometimes the lil water that I left in there would still be there.. So I would like to say please make sure that everything is clean and washed... The first time I phoned for extra towels, housekeeping took a bit long, I had to phone a second time...
It was a nice stay excellent one
Very friendly helpful staff. Good food at reasonable prices. Good location.
Terrible WiFi system. Difficult to log in, unstable, very slow and then failed on three devices, hence we were without adequate email connection. Two large parties were in the hotel on Saturday and the restaurant staff were unsure whether we could have a table for dinner. You must tell guests on check-in to reserve a table in these situations. No bottle opener or corkscrew in the apartment. I had to buy one from the gift shop which cost R195! TVs rather ancient with limited channels.
The staff were not very helpful. For example I left the last day without any tea for breakfast because the staff after 4 reminders just did not seem to able to supply. The last straw was when the waitress poured water into the cup from a tea pot. This was not an exception. The fridge in the room I was staying in had a very loud motor. it woke me up in the night. I complained 3 times and the only solution offered was to switch off same.
I liked everything, the staff, the breakfast and the clean atmosphere t
Nothing except that I feel I paid more than I was suppose to. However, Booking.com is trying to solve the problem
my internet requests were not met eg seaview & bath request- had to demand a different room with view. still did not have a bath as requested - lack of staff on public holiday - so staff could not handle the pressure had to wait 10 minutes for a breakfast table each day. No bathrobes provided in room. Check in was not pleasant.
Efficient check in. Most accomodating staff. stunning room
Food and service at restaurant was awful
location , hotel
breackfast was spoilt by overcooked bacon everday!housekeeping staff very lazy and wont clean up rooms to the standard fit for the hotel.
There were too many negatives for us to like anything!
We had problems with the electronic lock of our room door which they temporary repaired every time and it took 3 days to finally rectify the problem. Arriving back at 24h00 at night or any time during the day we had to go back to reception as we could not get into our room. They would seat us at a table for breakfast that was not set the more we requested for cutlery the more the lady on duty would apologise but not bring us the required cutlery until we got up and took cutlery of the tables next to us. Every day at breakfast they would run out of glasses at the juice bar and would have to ask somebody to bring more glasses that they first had to wash, why not purchase more glasses? The card to open the security gate never worked either in or out the whole time we were there. When we booked out, there was also a problem with our account. Very disappointing after spending 7 nights that cost a lot of money at this hotel. I don't think you will see us again. It is unfortunate that the overseas tourists have to be subjected to this poor service I do not think it portrays a good image of our country!!!
Once the front desk slowed down and warmed up, the attendants were very courteous and nice. They listened to me and were very efficient.
At the start of my trip I stayed at the Hilton, which offered a free shuttle service to the V &A Waterfront. The Protea President is rather distant to walk back and forth regularly and does not offer any shuttle service. Also, I paid for a "sea view" room but hardly had any "sea view" from the windows. It faced some houses which had a VERY INCREDIBLY loud party when I was trying to sleep because I had to be up at 6 the next morning.
Everything. Great hotel
View Staffs are friendly, helpful and always smiling.
Dinner menu is not enough.
Very peaceful stay with very good friendly service
Marimba drums bit loud with sound travelling up into room
Spacious rooms cleanliness and excellent views . Very friendly helpfull employees.
The staff made me feel as if they did me a favour Drunk guests at 3am in the corridor shouting and fighting; coming from the foyer were none of the staff acted. One of the "fresh" towels still had some-one mascara on it. etc, etc, etc....
