With great Atlantic Ocean views, The Ritz is just 1000 ft from the beach and minutes from the V&A Waterfront. It boasts the only revolving restaurant in Cape Town.

Score from 265 reviews Good
staff at breakfast area were very friendly and helpful,
reception poeple are slow and not friendly to customer
Very good breakfast buffet. Compact room but very modern, clean comfortable with plenty of storage space. Very quiet air conditioner.
cleanliness and freshly renovated
small rooms and the noise
fab beds and shower
no restaurant other than adjoining Steers
Friendly staff, good buffet breakfasts, safe parking.
Only partial views from room of sea or mountain
The shower and toilet space was too small.
Proximity to the sea and walkway, shops and other amenities. Assistance from the security on duty in opening the safe in the room.
The safe locked itself and wouldn't accept my code. Staff on duty were excellent but security manager was off and did not answer his phone or sms's to assist security in opening the safe. It took them a long time and they are to be congratulated on their perseverance and patience. Better training for them maybe?
wonderful staff, good suite for my disability(i've hjad a streoke)
lack of bathroom privacy(no door, open plan toilet), no fridge in suite 224, ramp dangerously steep into hotel, breakfast too expensive
Bathroom completely inadequate and disappointing. You need to enter the shower before the door can be opened.
Family room limited space
The are is beautiful and the suite we stayed in 2 days before we left was lovely
The room we had when we arrived was not good, very small
Décor was lovely. Breakfast very good.
The road it was situated on didn't seem very safe, especially at night time.
I loved the location. It was close to many facilities.
The rooms for a familiy were a bit small.
Parking is not opened 24hrs, posing safety hazards
Centrally located, quiet and comfy room
..no bath tub!
The friendly staff and good housekeeping.
Appears to be too smoker friendly, people use their balcony to smoke and chat, but they are all to close and you can smell and hear everything they are saying. Also the outside veranda is used by smokers.
The staff did not have our booking and failed to take any responsibility for it. The staff denied receiving my business fax which was on the desk in front of them. The car park attendant guided us to a space which was too low for our car which caused damage to it.
far from waterfront
The rooms were cleaned and nicely renovated. Convenient location. Enjoyed a good breakfast.
We had a do not disturb sign on the door as the baby was sleeping and housekeeping ignored the sign opened the door and woke her. I had already arranged for a late check out, would assume that the staff should have known this.
The friendliness of the staff and the interior decoration except ......
The carpets down the passages leading to the rooms. The pattern was awful
The gym was good, staff were friendly and helpful
the room was uncomfortably small, i could not even keep suitcase open on the floor or I would not have room to walk around! For the amount of money I was paying this size room is TOTALLY unacceptable! annoying that every day you have to ask the desk for a wifi key to access a locked amount of MB, should be free and unlimited to residents. Not worth the money at all! I was expecting far better comfort, space, and foo d options so limited! I ate most of my meals outside the hotel to avoid the only restaurant option which is spurs. Kitchen should be open to serve hot meals that are not fast-food options of spurs. I would likely not visit that particular protea hotel again.
The staff is very helpfull and kind. The hotel has a nice reception and a small pool thats worth a lot in Cape Town. The new rooms has a reasonable space, new furniture and an updated design plus a nice balcony with oceanview. The old ones are quite small, besides that the bathroom has glass wall. The location is very positive between Camps Bay, Green Point and V&A with some restaurantes around.
They made some mistakes with our reservations. Hosted us in two different rooms (downgrade). In the next day they moved us to the right reservation but with a double bed. We have had to request new changes again. Small problems that can create some uncomfortable situations.
Booked family rooms were not available
comfortable once you checked in, good place to stay.
too slow for check in, too much delay as requested. Information is not well shared in the system with all the staff.
The hotel is beautiful, our room was comfortable and clean. We loved the two separate rooms, one for toilet and sink and the second with shower and sink. The lobby was very nice as were all of the staff.
Toilet paper was not refilled until requested.
