No ambience at all, Reception staff were unhelpful, mitchells beer tasted off and it stayed that way for the week, full of elderly clientel Only had a shower when we had booked and paid for a room with bath and shower, they said they couldnt change it.
Nice setting,gardens and dining facility.
Clean rooms, close to everything.
the fact that we were on honeymoon, and were given twin single beds... we asked for a different room but no luck... very disappointing
Lovely location - close to all the adventure sports, but still very tranquil. Great food, lovely room (we stayed in the barn) and more than enough space for the kids to play.
The outside seating area of the restaurant (closest to the bar and swimming pool) is a smoking zone, which made it unpleasant for non-smokers.
Everything was neat especially in the bedrooms. The stafabulous was accommodating. Lovely for the kids to explore.
They don't have a halal friendly option.
Atmosphere was great. Food was excellent and good value for money. Staff paid attention to detail.
Stunning location. Elegant rooms, decorated with wit and flair. Helpful staff who all went the extra mile to make our stay special.
In sharp contrast to the stylish guest accommodation, the buffet restaurant is dated, harshly lit and too canteen-like. Weighing out and paying per portion size is a novel idea to prevent waste and also reduce cost to the diner, but this needs to be handled with more wit and cleverly marketed so it doesn't seem merely cheap. Food was tasty but wildly inconsistent in temperature - I had to have my roast dinner reheated in the microwave. Presentation could be greatly improved so as to make dishes look as good as they taste.
the hotel has a nice village setting. It was Nice to see. Breakfast was great
It missed Atmosphere and the rooms are very basic and not homey. Restautant was poor
Good location near the entrance of the Tsitsikamma National Park, nice village, good à la carte restaurant
Accommodation in the wooden block houses is rather basic and needs refurbishment
Oke accommodation for a stopover. The hotel rooms are situated around a courtyard and are in individual building that look they were build 100 years ago (but are in fact fairly new). There is also a pub, restaurant (a la carte & buffet to choose from) and a fairly size swimming pool. Rooms are big and clean. We had a bathtub in our room.
The accommodation wasn't really my cup of tea. It lacked atmosphere in my opinion, but that is of course very subjective.
The breakfast was excellent with a large choice.
bathroom, the cats,
very old TV, insects,
the overall environment; the size of the room;.the general ambience;the pleasantness of the staff
limited evening menu; lack of outdoor seating at room
Location, village itself, friendly and efficient admin & restaurant staff, very good food and well priced restaurant. Great place to find walks in the forest and to visit Storms River Mouth. A beautiful area to stay.
Wi-Fi is inconsistent, but this seems to be the case in many rural locations in South Africa at present.
Friendly, helpful staff, Food very good
food good, staff friendly,room clean
we feel room overpriced for this time of the year
Enjoy my staying at the Inn. Good value for money, barn room are great
My wife and I stayed at the Village Inn so that we could do a Tsitsikamma Canopy Tour. The Inn was very comfortable and we would not hesitate to stay there again. Staff were very friendly. We stayed in a luxury room, which really is just larger than some of the other rooms.
Very pleasant experience in a lovely little village
Breakfast was superb! Unfortunately we had a very rainy stay!
Besides the bad weather - nobody to blame - the bathroom could've had a heater - it was very cold and the toilet took ages to refill after 'pulling the chain!
Food was great, value for money accommodation, close to all the other amenities and friendly staff.
A water leak at the toilet cistern. No fridge in the room.
Everything, it would be unfair to leave anything out.
Nothing.....we simply loved being there. Was just ad the days went by so quickly.
Nice place, clean room with very good beds, perfect position for many activities at Tsitsicamma. Breakfast Is fantastic
