Score from 537 reviews Good
Cleanliness, location, comfort, safe deposit box, friendly staff.
No fridge, no extractor fan in bathroom ( mist build up), leaking taps, tremendous noise from N1, no blanket just a too warm duvet and to cold sheet. Room was not ready when we arrived at 14:00.
Location and price
The hotel is very conveniently located for business at, for example, Karl Bremer Hospital. Room very comfortable and in better weather I am sure the view will be spectacular. It was overcast and raining when I was there. Friendly attendant at gate.
The little step in front of the room. There is a sign warning the person entering though.
Staff were slow and inflexible to change booking, costing me money.
The view. The hospitality
The cars at night
The good..... I loved the clean room, the service from the moment we walked in. We were treated like king and queen. Everything was absolutely functional and in it's place
The Bad.........Although I booked a room for two people, your reservation indicated a single person. Although a double room -1 piece of coconut ice. Did we have to share it? As a guest we received a bottle of mineral water. So I had to book in everyday to receive a bottle of water. I stayed with you 3 days - I felt you could have gone the extra mile by supplying the bottle of water daily. The ugly....... I did not feel safe at your hotel. I was not asked to sign n at the gate. My car's registration number was never recorded. could come and go as I please. Never been checked. The only time we were checked, was when we booked out. A different guard on duty
Location Bar atmosphere
Air conditioner not working Long wait for meals, bills etc Waiter forgets about you
I like the location of the hotel and well as the whole set it was very nice .
I Think that an extra blanket should be kept in the room for those cold nights that Cape Town experiences . Not everyone prefers to sleep with the Aircon On . I think that the hotel should serve complimentary Coffee in the reception area so as you check out you can just grab a cup . Its all about convenience .
Wish we could have stayed longer, next time :)
The staff is very friendly and helpfull. Very easy to find the hotel. Fantastic view.
The rooms on the road could be noisy at night if you open the windows. But their is an airconditioner if you prefer.
Overpriced breakfast Poor Service Noise outside room
The view is excellent.
The safe in our room did not work. We did phone for someone to come fix it, but they never came. The milk sachets in the room were old and some had curdled. Outside our room was not very clean at all times.
Uncomfortable beds, very ugly bathroom, carpet full of burns
Services especially the waiters (e.g., Kenny) at the hotel restaurant are good and friendly. The bed material is good.
The location is not near the airport as much as we expected. The room is close to the highway which is very noisy and disturbing our sleep at night. It is not convenient for ones who want to shop or eat out without cars. The front staff is not friendly. Overall, the prices are too high compared to the location and coonvenience.
The hotel reception and breakfast area very dated
The white bedding looked fresh and clean
Carpets very old and worn out. Room and bathrooms in desperate need for makeover. Booked online but had no booking with them even after showing my ref number and printed copy. Reception told me that. That it's no good booking thru bookings.com
the space of the bedrooms and also the cleaning staff are very friendly, pool area was relaxing. the rooms are also very clean it gives you that relaxing atmosphere.
the reception staff, feel that they are very inexperienced and also have no people skills,we waited a hour to check in after check in time and when we needed something in the room we waited forever instead we asked the cleaning staff and they were more helpful.
The hotel is literally RIGHT on the freeway, which made for an extremely nosy night. Despite being a corporate traveller, with prepaid accommodation, the Receptionist insisted that I needed to pay for the accommodation on checkout, which then needed to be refunded.
Amazing rooms, very secure.
The staff more especially the coldness I received upon signing in. First impression always lasts forever and didn't endure that.
The comfort.I like the bed, the pillows, the towels.everything in the room , the dvd in the room.staff very friendly.
Room service.I order a sandwich and after a long wait enquire , just to be told they dont have tuna
Bed and pillows were comfortable.
The traffic noise from the highway and the food I ordered from the room service menu.
Close to the airport
The room was very poor. There was a funny smell in the room. the carpet was torn between the beds. The room and the bathroom don't fit a 3 star hotel. the shower curtain in the bathroom is disgusting. It was supposed to be a romantic weekend. 2 double beds for a couple on a romantic weekend??? My stay was very disappointing. Not value for money. The Protea Hotel Durbanville is far more better for only R100 per room per night extra.
the friendly staff and the size of the hotel room. Also that the rooms have entrace from outside and not long coridors to walk down.
I thought the dinner and breakfast was overpriced. I also waited both mornings for the serving bowls to be filled with bacon and sausages. The bowls were not filled up timeously
The staff are excellent. What we asked for was provided and with a smile and staff went the extra mile to make our stay an unforgettable one. It was such a nice experience. We had great fun.
The weather was really bad and due to the fact that I did not have a car I had to walk to my room which was quite a distance from the reception and doing so in the rain and the muddy paths was not a lekker expedrience.
