Great location. Informative staff. Stunning rooms. Very clean. Hotel is discreet and perfect location if you want to be close to the waterfront. Lovely beds.
Although it was difficult to find, the location was perfect. lots to do in the area and a magnificent view of Table mountain from our room.
Be clear you are paying for the location of the hotel and possibly the view from your room. Don't expect too much else that justifies the price.
Being near to Waterfront
The curtains blocks out the daylight but is too far away from windows so the daylight comes out on the sides.
The location is very convenient.
Attention to detail of the room service staff was poor. There was no comfortable way of in room dining. Shower floor dangerously slippery. TV channels poor reception quality.
The location was amazing, right across the street from the waterfront.
Upgrade to Dock house provided nice if oddly designed room, excellent bed and general feeling of quality and luxury. Very pleasant gardens Very friendly staff
Service could be slow - once there was more than about 2 people at breakfast...I waited up to 30 minutes for food Bizarre arrangement where on Sunday morning in glorious sunshine the staff decided to mow the lawns making it very noisy and awkward to sit in the one outside area Wifi needed repeated restarting
Everything from a hearty breakfast, right to the friendly staff and ever so comfortable rooms.
Excellent location, very friendly staff and AMAZING restaurant! Excellent breakfast. The hotel is quite new and everything was very clean. Excellent choice and I would definitely book this hotel again.
The TV image and the channel choices were very limited, however it is a small detail for such a wonderful hotel.
The cosines and relax atmosphere. Very close to the best shopping centre.
Hard to tell.
location large rooms bathroom
limited nb of TV channels breakfast buffet , limited in choice
Staff, location, facilities, everything was great
Staff bent over backwards to help us and everything was perfect. They upgraded us to the presidential suite - which always helps! ;) That suite has to be the best room available in Cape Town - what a view of Table Mountain!!
Location, staff and value for money. Will visit this hotel again.
Initially a few issues, but resolved and a happy stay. They are really trying and it shows!
The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and went out of their way for me, the decor of the rooms was beautiful and the bed was very comfortable. Good black out curtains. Breakfast was very good too. The location is fantastic- right by the V&A waterfront (2 minute walk) and close to the big bus tour start.
My deposit amount is not return to my account ...
very comfortable room. excellent breakfast.
I like the services and all staff I met in hotel They were so kind and helpful Room was so clean
position, breakfast, courtesy
extra charge for late check out, the room was not available upon arrival
Queen Victoria is an absolutely amazing hotel. The staff are very helpful, friendly and efficient. I definitely recommend staying here. It is a little pricey, however, worth every dollar it's in a great location and is absolutely beautiful. Highly recommended.
I read some reviews prior to going and some people had mentioned that the lighting in the bathroom was impractical and it definitely is! The mirrors in the bathroom are not lit enough to put make up on. It's a minor problem, I managed and used the mirror on the wardrobe and hand held mirrors...definitely not a major problem!!
The room was spacious and comfortable.
Small things but when paying over 6000ZAR it should be better. My luggage was not brought to my room, I had to go fetch it! I was made aware of the Restuarant 'Special' when introduced to my room but when I ordered it for lunch the waitress didn't know there was a 'Special'! Then, it took around 40 minutes to be served... a special? Surely, it is one of the quickest meals to be served!! As I say, minor points but I usually stay at the similarly priced Radisson Blu or the Taj and frankly, the Queen Victoria has a long way to go to be compared with those two, especially the Radisson.
Excellent location for waterfront Hotel was accommodating when all rooms were full they offered the spa facilities for us to change our clothes since our flight was in the evening.
Small, very friendly staff, good location and generally all round enjoyable experience.
Prices were ramped up for Indaba week, despite me booking this hotel many months ago. That was a real slap in the face which marred the whole stay.
Great hotel excellent location decor and facilities. Staff very helpful and polite
Great Location very close to Waterfront
