It was a great location not far from the Malelane entrance to Kruger Park. I loved the covered patio in the back where you could see the elephants, leopard, and hippos near the lodge. Johan and Duffy were friendly and accomodating. They were up early to see us off on our safari tour. It would be nice if they had an option to have dinner there.

The hotel is in a great location as a base for trips to Kruger Park, Blyde River Canyon or Mozambique. It doesn't claim to be a modern 5-star hotel but it is very comfortable and has great character and charm with all kinds of antiques and curios throughout. Views over the Crocodile River and Kruger Park are spectacular and you are likely to spot some of the big 5 coming down to the river bank opposite to drink in the evening from the deck or your room balcony. The two owners and their cat, named Diesel, are utterly charming. There is a large Spar supermarket nearby for provisions and the usual South African small town bars and restaurants.

The hotel is located at a river on the border of Kruger Park and we were able to see within a period of two hours a crocodile, hippos and a group of lions hunting a buffalo. All this happened about 30 meters away on the other side of the river, the look out place in the hotel garden is great. Hotel is very clean and comfortable, the owner friendly and helpful and the breakfast was good. The rooms was not very big though it had a balcony.

Die Lage ist für unsere Durchreise gut. Es steht zu viel alter Nppes herum. Die Lodge ist viel zu teuer für was sie bietet!!
