The warmth a helpfulness made our trip to Cape Town a full and wonderful one.
Nothing bad at all.
I liked the comfort and unusualness of the hotel. Staff were friendly and helpful
Good location, many sights within walking distance, very kind and hospitable staff, rooms nicely decorated, well equipped and spotlessly clean, good breakfast
A bit unsafe at times which could affect the location of this hotel.
Friendly welcome and extremely helpful staff. Large room size for a city hotel.
Breakfast was excellent but it took time to prepare. We would have preferred more self service.
The owner Ursula and her son were extremely friendly and helpful in any matter like suggesting good restaurants and arranging reservations to them. Excellent breakfast made individually of a selection of 5 alternatives. Daily newspapers provided for in common area.
WLAN in room was fast, but signal streangth was sensitive to the your position in room, in our room network did not respond in bed area. One mattress had lost spring streangth, which caused sleeping position to lean towards the lower edge uncomfortably
There was a warm welcome as soon as you arrived. Could not do enough for you in giving guidance to local facilities.
Ursula and her son Michel provide a wonderful 'concierge' service in this small jewel of a hotel in central Cape Town. Whether it's arranging tours, restaurants or transportation, nothing is too much trouble.
The room was spacious and well appointed with modern bathroom fixtures -- loved the shower. All the staff were very helpful and owners Ursula and Michel welcoming. Breakfast was delicious.
The location was a bit noisy.
Excellent service and very helpful staff. Breakfast was delicious.
Staff were excellent,friendly and informative.
No lift and we were on the third floor. However our cases were carried up for us. Quite a lot of road noise.
A lovely hotel with lots of personal touch. Tasteful decor and everything works! The breakfast is not to be missed. Seriously. Very good value for money. But be warned, it's in a lively neighbourhood!
The street noises kept me up at night and the sunrise "adhan" was excruciating...
Great location, & close to everything that Cape Town has to offer. Friendly, helpful staff. The owners Ursula & Michel are warm, calm & caring people - they went out of their way to make our stay a real joy. I would definitely stay here again(& recommend others to stay here) if we ever return to Cape Town.
Great accommodation, handy to everything and Ursula was the best, her recommendations were spot on for food and tours. The only regret was our stay was not long enough.
Ultra modern. Great breakfasts.
On a noisy street. With concrete floors, would recommend either more rugs or disposable house slippers.
The hotel is beautifully designed with an artistic taste , the room was big and comfortable with comfy bath, delicious breakfast to taste but nothing compares to the wonderful hospitality and friendship of Ursula the owner thanks a lot who turned a touristic trip into a local artistic tour no minute missed in between will always treasure her help
The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms are large and equipped with both showers and bathrooms. The rooms can ge warm but the airconditioning is a treat. The breakfasts are also amazing!
The rooms get warm due to double glazed windows for sound proofing. This is only a problem for the first 10 minutes while you try to figure out the airconditiong.
The owner, Ursula, and her son, Michael, were outstanding hosts. They suggested and made reservations for us each night at superb restaurants. If you want to get away from the touristy waterfront and stay in an interesting neighborhood, this is the place. There is actually a walking tour here. We took the hop on- hop off bus from just a couple blocks away. It is safe to walk around during the day but suggested not at night. We had an absolute fantastic time and highly recommend this boutique hotel if you want a fun, unique experience.
Modern, clean, nice staff.
Very noisy outside. All concrete floors a little hard to get used to. Could use more rugs or even inexpensive house shoes to walk on.
We loved the decor, the breakfasts, lovely Angie, the hosts Ursula and Michel and their helpful advice on everything to make our stay so enjoyable. The restaurant recommendations were particularly great. We were sad to leave after five wonderful nights at this fabulous hotel and would suggest that if you are going to Capetown, this is the place to stay. You will not be disappointed.
Wonderful staff Tasty breakfast choices Super King size bed and interesting shower
The Manager/Owner of the place & her son were very helpful, imparted a lot of info on facilities / attractions outside of their hotel. Truly superb hospitality service ! Awesome choice of breakfast.
Walk in shower, breakfasts, shower on departure, kitchen in room, lovely room, super friendly owners who couldn't help enough.
Having to leave.
We really appreciated the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. They went out of their way to make our time there comfortable, even allowing us to store our bags there before we could book in, and after we had checked out as well. Everybody down to the cleaning lady, Agnes was extremely friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make us comfortable and offered assistance with suitcases even when it was not asked for. The breakfast was very tasty and interesting and they had a nice selection. Well worth visiting, we will be back again!
The facilities will pose a problem to disabled clients, as there are quite a number of stairs to negotiate.
It's a value for money. Hotel is small but neat and clean. Specially the most courteous staff. They are quite helpful.
I spent almost 24 hours but did not find anything annoying.
