The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The bathrooms are large and equipped with both showers and bathrooms. The rooms can ge warm but the airconditioning is a treat. The breakfasts are also amazing!
The rooms get warm due to double glazed windows for sound proofing. This is only a problem for the first 10 minutes while you try to figure out the airconditiong.
Modern, clean, nice staff.
Very noisy outside. All concrete floors a little hard to get used to. Could use more rugs or even inexpensive house shoes to walk on.
We loved the decor, the breakfasts, lovely Angie, the hosts Ursula and Michel and their helpful advice on everything to make our stay so enjoyable. The restaurant recommendations were particularly great. We were sad to leave after five wonderful nights at this fabulous hotel and would suggest that if you are going to Capetown, this is the place to stay. You will not be disappointed.
Wonderful staff Tasty breakfast choices Super King size bed and interesting shower
The Manager/Owner of the place & her son were very helpful, imparted a lot of info on facilities / attractions outside of their hotel. Truly superb hospitality service ! Awesome choice of breakfast.
Walk in shower, breakfasts, shower on departure, kitchen in room, lovely room, super friendly owners who couldn't help enough.
Having to leave.
It's a value for money. Hotel is small but neat and clean. Specially the most courteous staff. They are quite helpful.
I spent almost 24 hours but did not find anything annoying.
Close to city and good coffee shop - Haas. Ursula and Michel very helpful with local knowledge and went out of their way to assist us on our holiday. Spacious rooms.
Nothing at all
Great location Very hospitable owners, who went out of their way to assist Excellent breakfast Clean and spacious rooms Good Wi-fi
Self-catering suites are fitted with free Wi-Fi Internet, air-conditioning, mini bar, kitchenette and tea/coffee facilities, TV and video. Bed rooms are spacious and beds are very comfortable. The shower is just amazing. Breakfast is simply delicious and you can choose from four varieties that will ensure you a good start in the morning. Though I used to order the “keeping it simple”, with fruit salad and yoghourt, the “French toasts” are also very tasty. Rouge on Rose hotel is like a home away from home and good value for money. Thank you, Ursula and Michel, for giving me the chance of enjoying this unforgettable holiday experience. Definitely, I can’t think of a better hotel to stay in Cape Town.
Ursula and Michel were very nice, they gave us valuable tips and helped us to enjoy the city. the rooms are spacious and nicely organized, it was a pleasure waking up in the morning with the wonderful fresh pomegranade juce and breakfast prepared at the moment for us.
The hospitality was the best making the ending of our trip a real delight. The choices for breakfast were hard to decide because they were all the best we have had on any trip. We wanted to have some of each so we shared. The entire staff went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. I would recommend Rouge on Rose for anyone traveling to Cape Town.

- Michel and Ursula were phenomenal hosts and made sure we were well taken care of while in Cape Town. Great dinner and activity recommendations. - Great location, walking distance to Waterfront and downtown areas, quick drive to Table Mountain and the botanical gardens. Really great spot to use as a base for a few days - Big, well lit room with lots of natural light, cool decorations and a great view of the neighborhood (room #302) - Breakfast is hearty and homemade
Huge Rooms French Feeling Excellent Breakfast Lots of character
The location is very central but I would try another area next time. (I like to try different hotels & locations.)
Friendliness of staff, feeling at home Interior Design/Decoration Clean Value for money Spacious rooms
Location Not many (if any at all) options if some one prefers eating in the hotel. Coffee sachets in the room many months after consumption due date. Why unrated?
Ursula and Michel are excellent in assisting travellers with car hire, trips, information and where to eat locally. Great bed, lovely linen, very clean. Beaut sitting area, everything you require and a kitchenette. Excellent breakfast as well. Would definitely stay again, we loved this place and Cape Town.
