Lovely rooms (we stayed in loft room) and made to feel welcome by staff. Enjoyed use of jacuzzi. Wasnt very happy with supper at the hotel restuarant, waiter didnt seem to understand menu and english very well and the herbs on my pasta were sandy which made the whole dish crunchy from sand.

Parking at your doorstep. Selfhelp bar facilities. Promotion was based on Executive Suite, but Loft was allocated. Will only recommend when on promotion, otherwise too expensive for location and the facilities available.

Attractive garden; sparkling (small) pool; location good for touring W.Cape. Staff attentive and friendly; reception staff efficient. Relaxed atmosphere. Plenty of secure parking, right outside each room. We were unable to make use of the Spa, as it was apparently fully booked throughout our stay. Only one or two staff were on duty each day, although there are apparently four treatment rooms. I'm not sure whether the Spa runs as a totally separate undertaking from the hotel, but since the Spa was the whole reason for booking our brief holiday at Ruslamere, this was a major disappointment. Waiter staff, some of whom did not seem at all fluent in English, could be better trained - there were several errors in our breakfast orders and on the one occasion that we dined at the hotel. the dinner waiter neglected to ask for our dessert order before the chef had departed!
