Wonderful staff from the moment we arrived. Beautiful, comfortable accommodation - luxury tents - set right on the banks of the Sabie River. Deck and pool overlooking the river perfect for relaxing.
Minor - found meals were a little cold when served. No other concerns at all.
Lovely comfortable tent. Excellent neat kichen with big fridge/freezer facilities.Neat bathroom facilities.Lovely deck.Fire pit at night. Food good.Staff very helpful and friendly.
Noise. People building on a Sunday.Guests complaining about closeby shebeen on a Friday and Saturday night.Field guide raced through KNP.Guests not informed where they were stopping and that they had to take money with as they would be stopping over at Lower Sabie.
Location, view, enough space, cleanliness
Toilet and shower separate from tent. Good kitchen
Food was excellent. Staff members were efficient and friendly. Lovely location. This lodge is perfect for day visits to kruger and for people who want a bit more luxury than if you were to stay in the park.
Good location, 19kms from Kruger gate. Rooms are relatively small, but nice and clean with good quality beds and bedding. Good food and friendly, helpful staff. I will stay there again.
Bathrooms in rooms rather small (only shower) and ablution facilities for Tents are seperated from tents which means that one has to walk in the open to the facilities (only about 20 meters though, and each tent has a seperate shower/toilet in the ablution block, which is lockable with only access by the inhabitants of the relevant tent)
The view of the river was amazing and the location was good, near kruger park.
So noisy! Construction was going on during the day and LOUD music was coming from a bar nearby till 2 in the morning. Impossible to sleep.
Staff was the best trained staff ever!!!! If it wasn't for them we would have left the first day!!!
They were busy with construction and building right infront of our room and from 7am in the morning till 5pm in the afternoon which no one told us upon booking!!! And our special requirement was " a quite" room!!! So instead of us escaping the hustle and bustle of Jhb we felt like we were on a construction site- NOT NICE They should tell one these things when you book!!! We were looking for tranquility, peace and quite and a relaxing few days in the bush but all we got was power tools and hammering from 7 in the morning, sun downers on the deck with timber and hammering right next to you... Not very pleasant!!!! If it weren't for the over friendly and helpfull staff we would have left the first day!!! And we didn't think the food was 3* quality at all!!!
Wonderful place to stay
Absolutely superb experience. Really top notch safari lodge at an excellent price. Location was great, right on the River Sabie about 10miles from Paul Kruger Gate. The lodge has an excellent decking area overlooking the river (with pool and bonfire area), great for sitting in the sun during the day or sitting by the fire at night. During our stay we had the hippos visit us 3 times and buffaloes once. The rooms were very large and we decided to stay an extra night but had to move to a luxury tent. The tent was even better, with ensuite bathroom and right next to the river. The major bonus was being able to hear the hippos chuntering away all night - a unique experience in ant hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff were absolutely fantastic and the lodge is obviously very well managed.
The breakfast was ok but the evening meal was a bit disappointing, especially if staying more than one night, as it was repetitive
The staff are very good, friendly and helpful. The accommodation was great waking up with a great view each morning was special.
An all round excellent place. But, the outstanding point for us was the friendliness and professionalism of the staff.
A wonderful stay at the Lodge and the staff exceeded our rexpectations. Excellenrt indeed. We stayed at the two 'joining' luxury tents with bathroom. Great shower! Out of season you may try to just come and see whether there is room for you! May safe you!
Value for money, a gem to stay at
We would like to stay longer
Very friendly and professional staff
Insects in bathroom
The view towards the river. The food. Staff were friendly and we were received well.
You should not allow bookings while construction is on-going. Although the ended at 17h00, the afternoon which was supposed to be quiet and peaceful, was noisy with chainsaws and carpenters with their hammers driving nails into the structures. Not what I expected.... The nights are not quiet with all the vehicles on the road. Not your fault but I did not like that. It was a bit of a contrast to the lovely view. Try to improve the entrance to your facility. It looks primitive and was a bit of a shocker when we arrived. I really thought...."no this can not be the place".... Kind regards.
Liked everything, the view, accommodation, the meals, staff etc, etc a fantastic experience, highly recommended.
Nothing to dislike :), with today's technology and most people have smart phones, it would be nice to improve on the range and signal of the wifi.
We loved the viewing deck and the tranquility as well as the friendly staff.
We did not enjoy the cockroaches in the kitchen for the self catering tents.
Staff very friendly, even went the extra mile and washed our car on a daily basis after every trip we made, we woke up to a clean car. Place very hospitable and it was awesome having 6 hippos in the river, great sunset views.
No mini bar in room
Hospitality was top class, beauty of nature as it felt like we was home and looking forward to visit again.
I wasn't happy at all with the issue i was forced to pay unexpected extra fee of R 930.00 ,I got an email for confirmation of my booking. I stated clearly on my booking how many we are but never received an email stating the additional i needed to pay.
It was a total surprise! The service was outstanding! The staff well trained! Value for money + !! We will most certainly visit again. Thank you
We were in one of two luxury tents. They were located adjacent to each other, and apart from the rest of the camp. Hippos played as the river flowed in front of our tents! Amazing! I loved the outdoor shower and the comfortable beds. Sleeping to all the sounds of the bush was amazing!!!
Nothing I can think of.
The pool area
Location was outstanding. Saw hippos and elephants while sitting by the pool.
Something was living in our thatched roof, causing debris to constantly fall on our bed. Roaches and other bugs were on the floor. The pool was sorely in need of paint.
