Set in a tropical garden, this hotel boasts an all-year outdoor pool with a sun deck. It is less than 10 minutes’ drive from the world famous Kruger National Park. A restaurant and chapel are on site....

View of the river Unbelievably welcoming and friendly staff, everyone, without exception. Quite an experience
No en-suite bathroom, but not a huge problem, just worth knowing ahead of time
Lovely tents and fantastic location on the river. Watched a young bull elephant taking his morning drink whilst we were on the pool deck
Bathroom facilities very basic and not sure I really enjoy the communal lavatories. Would prefer en suite.
We had 10 glorious days with outstanding staff, delicious food and a wonderful outlook. Thankyou
Location is superb. Near the river between Hazyview en Kruger. Nice terrace to relax and view over the river They cleaned the car
Diner is TERRIBLE. A disgrace. Baddest meal (buffet) we had in ZA. It was so bad that we had to laugh instead of being disappointed. Service: no service, not interested in the well being of the guests. Only interested in very cheap food against big prices. Most expensive drinks we had in ZA. Wine: vinegar :( No fridge in room.
Very nice people and very helpfull personel. Good location to enter the park and nice view on the river. Nice view on the Krugerpark over the river. With a little bit of luck you can see animals coming to the river.
Nothing important to mention.
not much life at the river bank
The staff may not have been the most "polished" but there was no doubting their enthusiasm and willingness to try to do well. The pool deck in the evenings was especially pleasant with the animals coming down to the water for a drink
The animals at Sabie River, the Location, the Great Food and friendly staff
tents were very comfortable, staff very nice and helpful, great location
we had a good stay. Food was ok, better for breakfast.
room was quiete basic and absolutely not so nice as expected. Looks generally better on the Pictures.
Hippos in river in front of tent; sometimes elephants too; very, very nice
Separate bathroom and kitchen facilities but still a very good deal
Good facilities Friendly staff Clean spacious rooms Good food and wines Reasonably priced
River was low so little animal action
Facing Kruger and you can watch the elephant sometimes
The restaurant when it cold, it get very cold
Location is great.
Bathroom was separate from the tent. This was not bad at all as it was very close and very clean.
Everything, absolutely fantastic.
The loud music that was coming from the alledged tavern behind the property, on the friday night (all night )
Either I misread the description or it is very unclear. I don't recall reading anywhere that the luxury bush tent had no toilet facilities and that there were general ablutions behind the tents. I also don't think 'self catering' means a communal kitchen with not even a kettle in the room. Due to a number of medical issues I use the toilet at least 4 times a night - I wasn't prepared to walk outside on my own in the dark and cold. We checked out and lost our money:-(
Wonderful staff from the moment we arrived. Beautiful, comfortable accommodation - luxury tents - set right on the banks of the Sabie River. Deck and pool overlooking the river perfect for relaxing.
Minor - found meals were a little cold when served. No other concerns at all.
Lovely comfortable tent. Excellent neat kichen with big fridge/freezer facilities.Neat bathroom facilities.Lovely deck.Fire pit at night. Food good.Staff very helpful and friendly.
Noise. People building on a Sunday.Guests complaining about closeby shebeen on a Friday and Saturday night.Field guide raced through KNP.Guests not informed where they were stopping and that they had to take money with as they would be stopping over at Lower Sabie.
Location, view, enough space, cleanliness
Toilet and shower separate from tent. Good kitchen
Food was excellent. Staff members were efficient and friendly. Lovely location. This lodge is perfect for day visits to kruger and for people who want a bit more luxury than if you were to stay in the park.
Good location, 19kms from Kruger gate. Rooms are relatively small, but nice and clean with good quality beds and bedding. Good food and friendly, helpful staff. I will stay there again.
Bathrooms in rooms rather small (only shower) and ablution facilities for Tents are seperated from tents which means that one has to walk in the open to the facilities (only about 20 meters though, and each tent has a seperate shower/toilet in the ablution block, which is lockable with only access by the inhabitants of the relevant tent)
The view of the river was amazing and the location was good, near kruger park.
So noisy! Construction was going on during the day and LOUD music was coming from a bar nearby till 2 in the morning. Impossible to sleep.
Staff was the best trained staff ever!!!! If it wasn't for them we would have left the first day!!!
They were busy with construction and building right infront of our room and from 7am in the morning till 5pm in the afternoon which no one told us upon booking!!! And our special requirement was " a quite" room!!! So instead of us escaping the hustle and bustle of Jhb we felt like we were on a construction site- NOT NICE They should tell one these things when you book!!! We were looking for tranquility, peace and quite and a relaxing few days in the bush but all we got was power tools and hammering from 7 in the morning, sun downers on the deck with timber and hammering right next to you... Not very pleasant!!!! If it weren't for the over friendly and helpfull staff we would have left the first day!!! And we didn't think the food was 3* quality at all!!!
Wonderful place to stay
