Sandbaai is located only 3 km from Hermanus and lies at the entrance of the Hemel-en-Aarde (Heaven and Earth) Valley, between the sea and the slopes of the Onrust Mountains. You'll find Hermanus at only 95 km from the Cape Town International Airport.
Travel information
From Cape Town:
- Take the N2 Highway past Somerset West, over Sir Lowry's Pass.
- After Houw Hoek Pass, take the R43 Botrivier/ Hermanus turnoff to your left.
- Travel approximately 26 km past Hawston, Vermont and Onrus.
- At the 2nd set of traffic lights, turn right at the SANDBAAI/Hemel en Aarde junction into Main Road (at Engen Garage).
- Continue until you reach Piet Retief Avenue.
