We stayed for the 2 nights. We booked in late and the owners welcomed us they were friendly. Our room was beautiful and breakfast was great. I like how you can go about your things for the day and how nice and peaceful it is in and around the guest house. Will definitely return soon.
The view, location, sea breezes and freshness in the morning.
Room 8 is facing the car park so you have no privacy unless you keep the curtains drawn permanently. Guests children were a noisy nuisance!
Location and the appointment of the rooms.
The shower cubicle was in need of a serious cleaning and demoulding exercise.
The breakfast was great - lots of choice, friendly, attentive staff and spectacular views of the sea from our breakfast table. The location was brilliant just across the road from the crashing waves and coastal walkway.
friendly people, nice breakfast, you can walk over to the sea side, you can do our own thing, with out any noise
Great location. The sound of the waves at night.
The boss and his family members are nice people. The view to see the sea is beautiful.
Were busy painting while we were there.
Beach location, friendly dogs
The bed was extremely uncomfortable.
Everything besides the bed.
Short version. Excellent
Paid Wi-Fi seems to be the bane of most travelers' existence, but if larger hotel chains charge for it, one can hardly expect it to be free at a small guesthouse. I would have liked a small bar fridge in the double room, since there appeared to be sufficient space to accommodate one. This would make it easier to keep cold beverages in the hot summer.
The owner's Riaan and Angelique were very courteous and accommodating of our needs, especially since we had three children in the group. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were spotlessly clean. I noticed that the owners had taken heed of previous reviews and had made available coffee and tea facilities for each room. One of our rooms, the family room, also had a fridge and microwave. Even though the breakfast was a relatively small selection compared to a hotel buffet, it had everything we liked and wanted. Fresh fruit juice, fruit salad, muesli, yoghurt, cheese and preserves, a selection of breads, coffee / tea and eggs prepared whichever way you like. The home made preserves were a special treat and they could add a new line of specialty items as an additional revenue stream :)
No coffee machine in room as promised.
Breakfast was first class. Staff was really friendly. Guest house really well kept.
some of the rooms are a little small
The breakfast was great location a bit off the track but nice, excellent service
Everything was good! Breakfast excenlent , staff very friendly and helpful! Clean and nice!!
The welcome was warm and the facilities excellent in every regard. My room had a view straight out to sea. Wonderful quiet spot as a base for exploring the area around Hermanus.
The hosts' attention seemed to be more on foreigners (I'm a local)
The breakfast was scrumptious, especially the coffee
Friendly welcome. Clean comfy rooms. A treat to have big bath sheets instead of a tiny bath towel. Excellent breakfast.
location is a bit out of town but on the seafront not a very warm welcome which I think could be improved on as it gives off the wrong impression as I've been in the tourism trade for a long time!
room and bathroom were comfortable nice breakfast quiet area
Lovely view from ground floor room on to garden but could not leave curtains open without anyone outside being able to see right into the room. Additional net curtains would have made all the difference.
Excellent position. Can walk directly down to sea path from the hotel. Nice place with character. Only spent one night but would like to have stayed longer.
If I was a critical person, I still don't think I could have found a single fault with the whole experience. Will stay there again, no question about it.
We liked everything about our stay. Both owners Riaan and Angilique were very friendly and helpful , glad to provide conversation and advice. Breakfast was generous and top quality. Tea and coffee in the room were welcome. The location of the property provides a view to the sea and we were able to watch whales from the living room. A truly outstanding experience.
Unfriendly managers. Felt like we had to apologize that we wanted to stay there...
Accommodation and sea view where amazing
Friendly and helpfull staff. Comfort away from home. `only the Capetonians can make you feel soooooo welcome!!!!!!!!!
What's to dislike when it was so good?
Everything. The people, the room, the dogs, the best breakfast ever.
No shade in parking area. Bathroom needs more clothes hooks and shelf space.
Comfortable, friendly staff, good breakfast, off-road parking, no traffic noise, whale-watching.
