Situated in St Francis Bay and a 1-minute walk from the beach, these rooms and apartments feature a rustic-style décor and private entrances. The lodge’s café overlooks the indigenous garden. Tea and coffee facilities are available in all elegantly decorated rooms and apartments at Sandriver Lodge. Each has a private bathroom with a shower. Free Wi-Fi is available. Position in town unfortuantly not much else. Our expectations of r700.00 Per night were rather shatered. This room had no flooring just stoep paint, Bathroom door had missing handle and a rope attached to close door. As for the shower well I am speechless!!!!! Rope nailed to wall holding shower curtain up but so small even a child could not fit!!! No bed side lamps no fan or air conditioning and the plumbing lets not even go there.This is advertised and priced as a lodge yet lets be real this is a boer mark a plan backpackers last resort.On arriving we had no choice as all other accomodation was full.We travel alot so this was very disapointing indeed.

"They advertise "free wi-fi". There's none available in your room and the wife was looking over my companion's shoulder "...to make sure your not downloading a book...we have monthly limits on our service." While the Owner (husband) was pleasant enough, the wife was not creating a tension- laden environment!!!!!

The decoration was fine and the room was spacious. The room was freezing. Doesn't had enough eating. The bathroom was very old fashion and not comfortable at all. Tv set very small for the room and doesn't work properly. The town roads were a mess and it was impossible to drive along the potholes all over the place. Very unattractive town, at least in winter time. Too expensive for the quality provided.

regretfully my stay at Sandriver Lodge was cut short and so we left a day early. Our stay was a pleasureable event and we are planning on going there again soon if accommodation is available.

Marc and Anneke were lovely B&B hosts. We cannot thank them enough for a lovely stay. Their helpful local information, banter, breakfast and hospitality were right on the spot (plus a loan of a power adapter and hair dryer). The rooms are rustic, roomy, quiet, cute and clean - exactly as advertised, so we were not disappointed. What more can you ask for when leisurely roaming the Eastern Cape countryside and beaches. The lifestyle is not a city lifestyle and the Sandriver is not a 5 star hotel - which is good as that would ruin a lovely seaside B&B and totally miss the point. So sit back and relax - enjoy the hospitality and seaside settings. Take a 5 minute walk to the beack or the shops across the roads. The other guests staying looked just as happy as we were, and rightly too. Lovely place. Lovely people. Thank you Marc and Anneke. Wish we had been able to stay longer than 3 days.

Zimmer waren sehr individuell eingerichtet mit originellen Sammlungen vom Strand und aus dem Meer. Nette Gespräche mit den Besitzern geführt.

Mark und Anneke waren ok. Shabby chic, aber nicht auf die schöne Art. Ekeliger Geruch unter den Küchenschränken. Das Internet funktionierte nicht. Weil Sonntag war, gab es kein richtiges Frühstück. Am Vortag wurden 2 Brötchen, 2 Scheiben Schinken, etwas Marmelade, Müsli und Milch in den Kühlschrank gestellt und das für 2 Erwachsene! Der Ort ist "tote Hose"!

Die Sandriver Lodge war die beste Unterkunft unserer Reise! Die Zimmer sind individuell, sehr hübsch und liebevoll eingerichtet! Wir wurden sehr nett empfangen, das Frühstück war super und die Gastgeber sehr nett und persönlich! Die Sandriver Lodge sollte auf jeden Fall Teil einer Reise nach St. Francis Bay sein! Absolut nichts!

Meget sød og charmerende værtinde. Steded lå meget centralt for strand og indkøb. På den anden side af gaden lå et charmerende "bytorv" med alle faciliteter.

Das Sandriver Lodge ist sehr schön eingerichtet und bietet viel Platz. Die Inhaber sind außerordentlich freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück von Annecke ist einfach wunderbar, sogar mit verschiedenen selbstgemachten Marmeladen!! Es hat uns hervorragend gefallen und wir würden das Sandriver Lodge auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Die Lodge liegt sehr zentral, die Zimmer sind leicht künstlerisch, sehr originell und liebevoll eingerichtet. Das gute Frühstück wird von Annika und ihrem Mann auf einer Gartenterrasse serviert. Es hat uns gut gefallen.
