What is there not to like. The farm is only 90 minutes away from Cape Town so easy to get to and it offers great relaxation for the whole family, with swimming pool, dam, wine cellar. The cottages are well equipped with all necessary kitchen equipment, towels etc. and most importantly a braai. Staff is very helpful anything necessary is immediately taken care off.
We didn't experience any negativity.
Saronsberg is a great weekend away destination. Not only do they have great wine, but the cottages are comfortable, view amazing and the staff really go out of their way to make your stay a great experience. Thanks so much for a great weekend and the lovely bottle of wine :-)
Being in a beautiful setting with wine. What more can be said after living in the rat race.
Closeness of other guests in the semi detached cottages gave little privacy.
Gorgeous double bed, lovely kitchen and fireplace. Perfect for unwinding from a busy stressful week.
Wonderful, tastefully decorated self-contained cottages in the vineyards, spacious and stylish. A short walk from the tasting room!
Not much! We had an issue with a non-functioning geyser but this was attended to
The beautiful surroundings, the proximity to the town proper, the quietness, the fresh air & we only had to travel 90 minutes to experience peace and time stopped to matter. I specifically looked for a place with a fireplace inside.
Dogs are allowed and the blankets in our cottage had a faint smell of dogs.
The duvets on the beds were of excellent quality, probably a high tog count and were lovely and warm
The plumbing (shower) was temperamental. Took ages to heat and varied between hot and cold throughout. Low water pressure. Also the open sided shower is not comfortable in colder temperatures. Would have been nice to have panel heaters in the bedrooms.
The cottage is very nicely set out and contains everything that you require for a quiet weekend away.
Need a light at the braai area outside. Was difficult to see when you were braaing.
It was very clean and the farm is beautiful. Good idea to have have an indoor and outdoor braai.
There is not much to do for children. I would suggest a jungle gym or at least a tv in each cottage for those winter nights.
The location, the mountain views with snow, the cleanliness, the comfort and the serenity.
No hot water in the morning for 2 days. It was fixed in the afternoon on both days. Gas shower heater was defective.
Beautifull area, nice and quiet. Close to town. Amazing bed
Its an amazing place to escape busy life, you wont find television or radio in the cottage
The rooms are well equipped and everything is in good condition and in good working order. The surrounding area is beautiful, ideal for walks and cycling, or just sitting and enjoying the ambience.
Some of the units do not have much privacy.
We liked the farm atmophere, cottages were clean.
There were no irons in cottages and when we enquired at reception we were told that there were no irons. we had to attend to our bussiness in creased clothes!!. That is pathetic!!! Next time please inform your guest when they make a booking. we lived in cottage 1 and 2. Cottage 1 had no hot water!!!! we had to boil water in kettles to bath. It was a very cold and wet weekend!!. please attend to this matter!!!
beautiful wine estate with good cottages.peaceful nature setting. value for money
The bed and bedding, especially the pillows, is some of the best we have come accross in a long while. We really enjoyed the 'independence' and isolation where we could come and go as we saw fit. We enjoyed our stay with you and will be back if we visist that part of the country again.
Thre was quite a noise on the roof during the night of our stay and we were not sure what caused the noise. My wife immediately locked all doors and secured all windows properly - a sign of insecurity. I do not know what the security is like but can imagine that visitirs may be (or feel) a bit exposed. Maybe you should explain some on security in brochures or documents in the cabins.
It's the perfect getaway. Stunning location, cottages well equipped, very comfortable bed and pillows. So good to stay at an establishment where they think of the little things, many thanks for the bundle of wood, firelighters and matches on the first evening.
The way the house was funish and it gives a calm and cool athmosphere.i enjoy my stay and will recommend anyone to go for holiday their.the view was also very nice .Thanks again for everything and God Bless.
the gravel road
Perfect weekend getaway close to Cape Town. Beautiful surroundings and every need catered for in the cottages and the wines are top class too!
The water pressure was not enough for the hot water to kick in, but it is Tulbagh and you won't need it in summer. We were assured that it was due to the harvesting season and that the cellar needed the water (they do make great wine), but it will definitely have to be sorted for colder weather.
Location comfortable bed and pillows
ants in bathroom Tea and coffee not refreshed Not serviced daily and had to ask for my room to be serviced at 3:30pm! impossible to shower(problem was acknowledged) No ironing Facilities Would of been nice to advise us of poor quality of water as all got sick and one rushed to hospital.
Beautiful location and modern cottages.
Everything !!! It was very good all round
The weekend was done and we had to go
