the space of the apartments
The kitchen equipment including plates, glasses, cutleries, etc etc is highly insufficient. The Brai setting is run down, including the lights. The lodge is not really well maintained and kept at a high standard as it must have been some years ago
Its a nice location with garden. Has potency to be a great lodge.
Swimming pool was dirty, fence broken and rooms need to be updated. It looks like the property is gonna falling apart soon. We had only 1 towel each and suggested the next time having 2 for shower as well. Owner made excuse but that was it. A small gesture should be more efficiënt.
Pleasant surroundings and town has all the facilities that are needed. Enjoyed the animals and birds in the enclosing bush.
Garden is overgrown by 5 years and not well kept. Pool too dirty to be used (may be a temp problem). Inside the rooms need a coat of paint to brighten them up. Some recreation areas or activities would be an add. Pity the dining room did not do meals other than breakfast.
the location, the restaurants, the accommodation, the view, i like to walk through the town, even it only have one main street. but all activities could be found there. people are friendly. prices are little higher than JHB, but it is reasonable.
I booked a beach horse riding at 12PM via the lodge. when I got there, no one waiting for us, then sent 3 messages to the business owner, and called her eventually, She told me some stories, such as her horse would be died if came at 12pm, She even not bother to inform us in advance. My daughter and I had to wait in the blowing beach for another hour, however, later we saw 3 people riding horses from the Main beach side. At 1 pm, we met the lady Terin finally, She blamed us instead of apology to us. When we back to the lodge, the managers there knew the whole story, but keep quiet saying nothing to us.
nice people, great location
a little rundown
The place the area, the weather and I'm defiantly coming back
Our room didn't have a dishwasher, and a microwave will do
Super friendly and helpful manager, good food, huge family rooms with self catering, magnificent garden with hippo walking in the evening (watch out!)
Location was convenient and the setting was quite lovely. Rooms spacious. Good aircon. The thought of hippos just wandering around was exciting, although we didn't see any. The staff were helpful with directions and a little local information, and kind enough to let us leave our car safely parked out front after we had checked out, while we went for a walk through some of the local tracks in the morning.
No meals on site, which we had been expecting (we were happy with our choice of restaurant in the township). Although mostly clean, we feel the facility is 'quite tired' for example bathrooms and lighting dated, the pillows and bedding could do with renewing, and the grounds needed some love and attention... Though it was autumn. We don't think this is 4 star.
Large size and good location.
Bed sheet were not clean when we first arrived. Sanitary papers from previous people were still in the room bin. The place needs a renovation, felt like stepping back 30 years. Self catering but no microwave. Only one hot plate out of three worked. No exhaust fan or light over the stove. No modern TV - old small cathode ray tube type. Bathrooms need to be renovated too, had to operate the showers fully on the hot water to get a warm shower with low water pressure. Got an impression that the owners did not want to spend any money at all. No food was available at the establishment. Asked for a map of the town which would have been nice if we were given one as part of the introduction. The owner was even telling the person on the desk not to copy the map in color, to use black and white - not very professional.
The scenary was amazing and would most definately return to St Lucia and stay at Sea Sands
That the booking did not include breakfast which I thought it did.
Excellent, quiet location in a beautiful tropical garden.
First room, no. 24, was not exactly what we booked. Room needs urgent maintenance, as all sinks, shower, bathtub and sink, were totally clogged. They seemed to not have been cleaned for several month. Second room, no. 24, was fine. Only the table on the balcony was almost falling apart. Swimming pool was not cleaned. One board on the boardwalk skipped up and hurt us almost with a long rusty nail. The only staff we saw was a young receptionist, who did his very best to manage the apparently fully booked hotel over the Easter holiday. It looks like management is not much interested in maintenance. It is a pity, as the hotel could be easily a pearl.
The accommodation was adequate for 2 adults with 2 children for a one night stay
Would have been luxurious back in the days when it first started/opened. Furniture need attention, cushions were flat and tattered. TV missing remote, lounge fan (light) did not have speed control, One hand & bath towel for 2 adults. TVs are outdated (1980s). No cleaning materials (wash dishes). Joinery (Doorframes, cupboard bases) were all water damaged/rotting) Stayed for cheaper and better accommodation on the South Coast (e.g. The Merry Crab)
Location. Helpful staff
Rooms dated and in need off upgrade No beds by pool
The pool very durty. The bar and restaurant not open in peek season... The rooms needed a renovation and smells like a dyrty and bad old ..... Breakfast .. Ugh eggs no tast and the fruit and yogurt was not in cold...
The location is tranquil.
The TV channels were not working properly. The kitchen utensils were minimal.Cleaning and replening of rooms was substandard and the linen only gets changed after five days which was a shock for me.
