Paternoster Seaside Cottages offers a variety of self-catering units that are situated in different locations in the village of Paternoster. They range from luxurious stone white-washed cottages to historically preserved units. . Featuring individually decorated units with typical West Coast and African elements, this unit offer different configurations and facilities. All the Seaside Cottages have spacious seating areas and private bathrooms. Some of them also come with fireplaces, TVs, and DVD players. Guests can prepare their own meals in the privacy of their self-catering units. The fully equipped kitchens include a refrigerator and a microwave. All the units have a dining area. Guests staying at the Cottages can enjoy long walks along the beach, in some cases accessible directly from their private verandas. They can also grill fresh fish, brought to them by the local fishermen. Paternoster Seaside Cottages are located 40 km from the West Coast National Park and 140 km from Cape Town. I did not like that nobody told me that the kliphuisie will not be on the sea side but between the people staying there. I did not feel that I was on holiday

Location Pool dirty and non functional. Attempted theft with kids jumping from roof to roof. Private dwellings around cottage, dirty with litter etc... Early morning (4 AM) noise with racing up & down streets

Clean and comfortable. Easy to walk anywhere from location Not a great view from the one we had. Would have preferred good view of the sea especially as the weather was not good but accept that this may have affected the price. Were not given sufficient bath towels.

There were not baths for chidren. Our vista was directly onto another building - we came for a seaside break. Could not see the sea. No burglar bars on windows could not leave any windows open. Fire place smoked - bird nests fell into fire. Very draughty - leaked like a seive - water at all doorways. We missed a slipper so searched under all furniture, and saw how filthy it was. Sorry to say but for what we got we paid exhaubitant prices.

I cannot understand why previous ratings were so mediocre. It wasn't clear from the website in which apartment we would be staying, or where we should report to collect the keys.

Really lovely setting. Very relaxing and unique. Self catering unit isn't serviced at all. For the luxury accommodation and price paid for per day, I would have expected the units to be serviced.
