This luxurious waterfront guest house offers spacious rooms with balconies and panoramic views of Touw River. Serendipity Country House features an award-winning restaurant. Serendipity Country House & Restaurant has elegantly decorated rooms with percale fine linen, under floor heating and ceiling fans. Each of the air-conditioned rooms has a seating area and flat-screen satellite TV. Guests can start their day with a hot breakfast in the property’s breakfast room, situated on the bank of the Touw River Lagoon. Serendipity Restaurant serves local and international dishes, and a five course South African inspired menu. After diner, you can relax in the lounge with the huge fireplace, or read a book in the guest house’s library. A beautiful guest house, friendly hosts,lovely room with the most comfortable bed and the best pillows. We had dinner in thge restaurant and found the price of R350.00 per head without wine to be over the top expensive.

Sehr freundliche Gastgeber und ein sehr gutes Essen im Restaurant. Die Zimmer sind hübsch eingerichtet und das Bett hat gute Matratzen. Uns hat es gut gefallen und wir haben die Gespräche mit unseren Gastgebern sehr genossen. Das Bad ist schmal und hat kein Fenster nach außen, also ein wenig dunkel und zwei Personen gleichzeitig im Bad ist etwas schwierig bis unmöglich. Wenn man abends gut essen möchte, hat man in Wilderness keine Alternative gegenüber dem hausinternen Restaurant. Die Karte bietet aber nur für zwei Abende Alternativen, dass muss man wissen. Wir haben von der Köchin, auch Tochter des Hauses, freundlicherweise Alternativen neben der Karte angeboten bekommen, daher relativiert sich das Manko.

Eine Idylle Im Grünen. Freudlichkeit der Besitzer und des Personals, Zentrum nah. Strand dicht neben dem Zentrum. Tochter und Schwiegersohn kochen ...Küche gut. Zusammenfassend: Absolut empfehlenswert ! nicht direkt störend, aber wahrnehmbar...leichte Rollgeräusche von der N2 am Tage, die sich aber relativieren, das tagsüber Strand oder Ausflüge angesagt sind.

Sehr freundliche Gastgeberin, sehr schöne Lage mit Park, Beobachtung von Vögeln Luxuriöse Einrichtung Das Abendessen war sehr exquisit und gut, aber die Pausen und die Erklärungen zu den einzelnen Gängen sehr langfädig, Essensdauer über 3 Stunden. Beim offenen Wein (Menge) stimmte das Preis/Leistungs-Verhältnis nicht.

Wir waren einige Nächte im Serendipity Gäste. Es war einfach alles wundervoll. Jeden Morgen wurde uns das Frühstück von Elsabe, der Besitzerin persönlich serviert, es war immer eine Überraschung, jeden Tag wurden wir mit anderen Köstlichkeiten verwöhnt. Das Zimmer und Bad gemütlich und sauber, da gibt es gar nichts zu Bemängeln. 5 Sternstandard ist gegeben. Die Aussicht auf die Laguna ist einmalig, vor allen bei Sonnenuntergang. Wer als Gast in Wilderness weilt, sollte sich auf jeden Fall ein Abendessen in diesem Guest House gönnen. Lizelle die Tochter von Elsabe und Philipp ist eine Kochkünstlerin. Sie und ihr Mann Rudolf zelebrieren jeden Abend ein unvergessliches, sehr sehr feines 5-Gang Dinner. Ein Familienbetrieb, wo man sich einfach wohlfühlen kann.
