We enjoyed pretty well everything about Sica'S. The ambience was very very pleasant indeed. It had a cosy and homey feeling. The dogs were a delightful addition and I must say I looked forward to having a visit with them after our business day ended. We felt very much at home and found staff to be helpful and friendly for the most part. I did not enjoy my evening dinners the last two evenings as the younger female waitress was indifferent and quite short in her approach to us at times. When we sat down for dinner the table had food on it from the previous diners. We waited for her to clear it off but she simply approached us to give us a menu and ignored the fact the table was dirty. I cleaned it off myself and told her so but she just ignored the point totally. We waited a rather long time for dunner and when we got our wine she didn't offer to open it or get a cork screw. She disappeared for glasses and again we waited too long for her to return. We went looking for her but found Goodenuf first and he sorted us out. When she opened the bottle she took the cork with her and threw it out. We didn't plan to finish our bottle so needed one. Again Goodenuf sorted it for us. In General she lacked energy and interest. We felt she was a very poor employee for such a caring environment.

Service kindness, good food. Too much light in the bedroom at night (even with curtains extended). Need to take taxi every time needed to go to the city. I think that the Sica's owners should make a deal/agreement with taxis (small vans) that go to the city and are used by the natural residents of that area. That agreement could relate to safety and even price.

Great location! Close to University of Kwazulu-Natal, freeway and the city centre. Pity about the traffic if you stay in the first row. Road very busy from 5 o'clock in the morning.

It was a beautiful place. Nicely maintained. The service wasn't the best I've ever experienced. My room wasn't cleaned until I asked 3 times. The phone in the room didn't work and although reported, wasn't fixed.
