Spa bath Braai facility View Good service - friendly staff
Toilet without ceiling - privacy Matress needs replacement - little support Kitchen - only bare essentials Aircon unit without remote control Access road not for sedan vehicles
The spa bath was the aim of this booking. I expected more, but it was enough fun.
The 3km dirt road to the lodge is very bad in places. Luckily we did not get any damage to the tyres from the sharp rocks. From our unit, there were bushes obstructing our view, and the adjacent unit stole our morning sun.
Close to all the attractions of Hartbeespoort Dam, but far enough to be peaceful. The predator park is closeby, so you can hear the hyenas and lions for about 15min with sunset. It's amazing! Each house has their own little walkway to their private braai area. These are all on different levels to ensure privacy. You can buy wood on the premises and in the morning, all the ash etc is cleaned up for you. Kitchen has all the basics. Security guards do rounds at night with flashlights that made us feel safe. Quiet and very relaxing.
It is cold this time of year. It wasn't a problem because of the aircon, but I would have greatly appreciated not only a bathmat for the bath, but also one for the shower and the toilet. The tile floor is freezing and one bath mat gets wet very quickly. Maybe a cheese grater and coffee mugs, not just tee/coffee cups. All just suggestions, our stay was fabulous!
Only 2 towels
Close to jhb, neat rooms with some good finishes
The small things: No tea or coffee in the room 30cm TV Bath towels are no bigger than tea towels Expensive at R1000 a night On check out I had to pay for some firelighters - they didn't have change for a R50 note and had to swipe my bank card. A little extra effort on the small things will go a long way.
Very friendly staff. A fabulous place with breathtaking views.
The stone lodges is not private, as we shared a roof with someone else next door. When a couple goes for their anniversary to a place, privacy is needed.
Location was fantastic and the braai area was clean and well kept. Comfortable and clean.
The rough roadway to the lodge. Can't imagine what it would be like in wet weather.
Location and view
Poor furniture. Poor bed . Broken tiles. door lock not working. No tea and coffee. Cutlery falling apart. You must use the patio. Theres nothing. Terrible road
Great place great view, nice for a weekend away
Terrible road. If you pay r1000-00 plus for a room when you get there r30-00 coffee sugar and milk would not bancrupt them.
Good service and clean room. Enjoyable stay.
Loved the rooms and the space. Excellent view
Refridgerator is a little too small.
