Southern light is located in the beautiful constantia valley behind table mountain and 30 mins drive from the v&a waterfront and the city centre. The guesthouse is the perfect place to start your trip to cape town as it offers a safe haven outside the city to enable visitors to familiarise themselves with the city and it's surrounds. If you are a wine buff, you have several vineyards on your doorstep.the restaurants in the area are superb and again on your doorstep. The website is confusing as to which room you are getting when making a booking. We thought we were getting a family room with a balcony. We were told we would not be getting what we ordered, even though they had insisted on a 50 percent deposit which I paid 10 months in advance. This led to an heated arguement with the owner as they originally tried to put us in a much smaller room and then a slightly bigger room for 3 nights telling us we had to change back to the smaller rom at that stage. We come from the land of 100,000 welcomes. Unfortunately we were lucky to find even 1 at southern lights. I would recommend sl as the rooms were very nice. An improvement in hospitality would go a long way.

Slch motsvarade alla våra förväntningar. Rummet var ljust och bekvämt, frukosten var utmärkt, personalen var vänlig och hjälpsam. Läget var perfekt för oss - lite avstånd till Kapstaden men inte för mycket. Nära parker, berg, vingårdar, restauranger och affärer. Underbar trädgård där man kunde sitta, koppla av och njuta. Bil är dock ett måste!

Schönes Haus in toller,ruhiger Lage, großes Zimmer mit großem Bad, sehr sauber und ordentlich. Morgens Blätterrauschen und Vogelgezwitscher. :) Absolut empfehlenswert
