Helpful Service, quality of food very good , pool area relaxing , shuttle bus to waterfront very useful .
Small room , poor view and distance from waterfront
The fan in the toilet was so noisy that one could not sleep. The Air conditioner when switched on makes such a noise that making it impossible to use. The staff comes at 16.00hrs to make the beds for the night. This is a very inconvenient time as at this time one is preparing to go out for the evening. If you do not allow them in they just do not come around again leaving the room with beds not done for the evening. For the price paid one would expect breakfast to be included. I would not consider staying at this hotel again in future.
Good wifi, comfy bed & bedding
Staring staff which made me feel uncomfortable. Some quite rude too.
Room comfort .Shuttle service good
Dinner buffet very disappointing
Hotel is well located. Shuttle service to V & A was good. Rooms and public areas were well maintained & the staff were friendly. Would definetly stay there again.
No facilities for children under the age of 10 years. The only entertainment place for children is the swimming pool.
Close to the waterfront. Friendly staff. Great value
Everything was great
The staff was nice and friendly and very helpful.Breakfast was quiet good with excellent variety.
House keeping staff made sure to disturb us every morning before 9am for room service. How can one be on a restful holiday and be expected to be out of the room by 8.30am. I found this extremely annoying.
staff was very useful, helpful and have a sense of humour
f they can include all DSTV CHANELS
The hotel is beautiful and the breakfasts particularly outstanding. Desk staff are a dream.
Room service staff are sulky.
The food the friendliness the comfort the leisure the valet the musicians - absolutely everything
Leaving was sooo difficult to come to terms with
Food at the pool and cocktails made incorrectly.
Facilities and breakfast
Mix up of the booking with no children in any of the rooms.
The Cull is a lovely hotel that is within walking distance of the V&A Waterfront. However, if you are not much of a walker, the hotel also provides a shuttle service. In the opposite direction is infamous Long Street and Bree Street which is within walking distance in the day but probably a cab ride in the late evenings. Staff were warm and helpful, and room service while sometimes was slow did deliver some tasty food. Rooms were also clean and comfy.
Service at the pool area was pathetic. I was disgusted with the attitude of your waiters to the extent that I ordered room service to be delivered to the pool area. The problem can be easily rectified by employing and training the correct people.
I loved everything from the reception staff, cleaning staff ,gym facilities and the location of the hotel...
Guests smoking in non-smoking rooms. Noisy guests at 1am. Bathroom smelled. Traffic grid-locked, so no easy vehicular entrance/exit. Breakfast facilities totally inadequate for the no of guests in the hotel. Food quality disappointing. This hotel now seems to attract the lower element and if not careful, will soon lose another star.
Bed and Linens were comfortable. Room was clean and I especially liked the turn-down service. Good comfort and care.
I didn't like the shower, every time we took showers the bathroom floor would flood and flood the floor. And the toilet made all types of noises throughout so it was not a peaceful nights sleep with some kind of sewage smell. Not good.
1.) Service generally was good
1.) Not being organised on my arrival - arrived at hotel at 12:00 and reception advised that room would be ready at 14:30. I arrived with my family to book in at 15:00 and room was still not ready - that is a big no no. 2.) Christmas lunch was good generally , but certain items like the "custard" was poor - the chef needs to taste the product before putting it out
