The attention my daughter received on her birthday by the staff was well received.
Even when there was electricity load shedding around town there has never been power cut within the hotel.
Fair as my room was starndard room
The way my breakfast was charged
Reception and pool area. Shuttle to waterfront.
The damp dirty cloth on the chair in the room which I didn't notice at first and onto which I put my jeans making them wet. The receptionist promising me a mountain view room then when I got there not being able to see the mountain at all. Just buildings. If you don't need the conference centre next door you should stay somewhere nearer the waterfront.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Hotel was spotless and catered for all my needs. I will definitely return and recommend.
Comfort, good service and well located.
No breakfast included. We pay a high amount of money and should have at least the breakfast included.
food, room, air con, shuttle bus to the waterfront, staff v friendly
cleaning staff are up and knocking on the door 7.30am onwards and continue to knock every 10mins. if you don't lock the door they will come on in and clean around you! not a place to wander around at night alone.. seriously dangerous
the Service was very good, staff ready to support client request,
the internet is not working properly and is very slow
Excellent location next to the exhibition centre. Good facilities
Wireless Internet very, very slow
Near to CTICC
Breakfast not included in the accommodation fare
The friendliness and service from the staff was great and this was from the time I got off my car and until I left and my luggage placed in the car again. Great job guys.
I felt the room a little small for my liking as well as the bed which was a double, only because I am used to sleeping on a King and normally book a king.
The architecture and the really good staff
Wifi did not work in our room. The price we paid should have included breakfast
We stayed over the Cape Argus cycle period and found the staff very helpful and also liked how the hotel accommodated the cyclists and themed the week around this event.
MY BREAKFAST WAS NOT INCLUDED IN THE BILL
Free transfers to the V & A Waterfront - we were charged last time we stayed two years ago
Price of breakfast!!
Staff are very nice. Location and walking distance to the waterfront is great.
pool got very little sun shine
It was available on the dates I required. The hotel is nice enough with some good basic facilities, but for the rates I expected better functioning facilities and a broader range (i.e., better appointed gym)
The business centre internet facilities did not work, there were repeated mistakes with a request for document scanning. There were a large number of visits to my room by staff during the day for various activities which I found disconcerting.
Solo travellers often get a raw deal but I had a large and beautiful room. I was treated with great respect and was in the evenings shown to the best table in the dining room for dinner and greeted personally by name. Hotels in Europe could learn a lot from the attitudes in this hotel to women travelling alone. I have stayed at the hotels of the Southern Sun group on other occasions but this is the jewel in their crown.
The courtesy bus to the Waterfront used to run every half hour. Now it is only once an hour and calls at the other hotels in the group which makes it slower.
The details were good. Good linen, great bathroom, nice towels. Overall very impressed with the hotel.
The service on the patio area for food and drinks was very poor. There was only one or two waitresses that seemed to be doing a good job. The rest of the staff was quite unobservant.
Loved that they had a gym Enjoyed pool side area Staff extremely pleasant & helpful Breakfast and dinner was always awesome Room service food was great
Carpet was stained Room smelled of cigarette smoke for days They didn't always replace things like glasses, soap & towels in the bathroom in line with the number of people sharing the room.
Staff were wonderful very friendly and attentive. Valet parking was great. Hotel was very busy but this did not impact on our stay
Location, location, location
Too many kids screaming and continuously shouting around the pool, with the sound echoing all the way to the room (on the 7th floor).
valet service to waterfront
barmans attitude and bar service
Despite having some initial difficulties in comms between Booking.com and the Cullinan, which eventually got resolved, our stay was very pleasant and the attitude of the staff at the C was shared first and second place across the 4 hotels we stayed at in S africa this time.
There was a disconnect btw booking.com and C and when I tried to confirm my booking prior to flying, Cullinan did not have any record of our booking. Took a couple of calls and e:mails to work out - was not good over the xmas busy period when Cape Town is usually fully booked.
I stay here on a regular basis and cant fault it. The staff are helpful and friendly
Wanted a late check out as my flight was not until 9pm. Totally inflexible. Admitted the hotel was very busy but not everyone checks in at the same time
