The great building Great place Livery decor
Nothing All great Just stay safe,
Friendly staff, great breakfast and comfortable beds, loved the antique look of the house and enjoyed how friendly the owner and the staff was, will definitely be back
*Walking distance from vibrant Stanley Road *Good balance between décor and older building *Very friendly staff
Interaction with staff. The warm welcome.
Getting into and out of the parking area when other cars are there already. Very cramped.
Friendly , liked room especially balcony Good restaurants close by
The breakfast was really value for money and I liked the homely atmosphere of St Phillips.
There was nothing that I did not like
This lovely B&B is in an elegantly restored wooden two - storey house which is 120 years old and was formerly a Manse for a neighboring church. I had a large and luxurious room with a door leading on to the balcony which ran along the front of the house. It was a great place to stay.
Great location in walking distance to several cafés and restaurants. Large room with comfy bedding and a huge wrap around porch. Breakfast was tasty and filling!
- big, spacious room - great location close to good restaurants, lively pubs, and the inner city. A short drive to the beaches - quiet street with homely atmosphere - nice breakfasts - good staff service
- rooms across the road in the annex are smaller
Liked that they have free wifi for guests.
Reception a bit poor
the staff and the facilities
a bit far from the city centre
A nice place for a stopover in Port Elizabeth. Pretty old house, nice room, secure parking, quite a few little restaurants nearby.
It felt more like being in a hotel than in a b&b
The location was just perfect for our needs, the staff most helpful and well worth another visit. Loved the historic feel of the place, which has been nicely restored.
I believe that we got the last room for that night and we found that it was a little cramped for a couple to move around. No cupboard facilities, a full rubbish bin was not emptied from the previous tenant and the jug of water provided was not covered and had "floaties" on top.
My room was comfortable and the landlady helped me to sort out my transport calling the bus company. The location is not central but with your own car is ok, the place is green and relaxed.
Good friendly staff ideally located for Stanley St bars and restaurants salt was very good, shame about PE but good for safaris and a start point for the garden route. Ideal for the rugby at Mandela stadium. Good basic b&b with lovely people who make it that much better, they will even do your washing and iron it for 70rand a true bargain. Loved it
Cynthia is the loveliest, most accomodating host and the house is just gorgeous. This is the place to stay whilst in Port Elizabeth.
Location Size of Room Staff was helpful
We had a long journey to reach Port Elizabeth and arrived later than planned but the proprietors waited to let us in although they did not live on the premises. Security was excellent with off road parking. Breakfast was good. Building was interesting.
huge room (we recommend room one :)) and patio, very close to the famous restaurant street, view over Indian ocean, kind people, thank you
Lovely renovated houses Clean and near with everything we needed Secure parking
Lots of stairs to climb. Difficult with heavy suitcases
Really nice place. Very good value for money. Place very clean and well kept. Love old houses and this one has been beautifully restored. Great staff, manager Cynthia was so helpful. Good position for me as I was going to the PE Opera House and travelling on my own. Trendy Stanley on Bain with all its restaurants and bars literally up the road. Reminded me of Melville in Johannesburg in the 90's. Would recommend.
A tiny bit noisy due to the wooden floors but not excessive or enough to ruin a stay..
Probably the best hotel in PE. Amazing view, very helpfully staff. Area with bars and restaurants. We had a great time there. If we go back to South Africa, we will go back to St. Phillips B&B.
Location and proximity to restaurants, car security, really good breakfast, lovely balcony
This well located B&B is great value for money. Everyone is friendly and will go out of his or her way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The breakfast (which is included) is absolutely amazing and plentiful. Need to be picked up at the airport or bus station they will arrange Jannie to take care of that. Walking distance to cafe's and restaurants and a 10 minutes drive to Summerstrand where you will find great beaches etc. I highly recommend this place to everyone. Cheers, Joeck , Vancouver, Canada
