Aangenaam hotel met vriendelijk personeel. Alleen deze kamer was aan de te kleine kant

Personeel vriendelijk en meewerkend. Geen badlinnen aanwezig op de kamer, duurde tot s'avonds eer nageleverd werd. Sluitwerk op kamers van matige kwaliteit.

Sfeervol maar wel wat gedateerd hotel met restaurant in hartje Stellenbosch. Zeer centraal gelegen met eigen parkeergelegenheid. Goed ontbijt. Bij uitstek geschikt voor jongeren.

Onze kamer was vrij klein, een van de twee bedden was slecht (kuil) en op de badkamer konden we niet recht op het toilet zitten want dan zat je pal met je neus tegen de muur. Weet niet hoe de andere kamers er uit zien. We waren er echter maar twee dagen zodat we hierover het hotelmanagement niet hebben aangesproken. Kamerprijs daardoor wat aan de hoge kant voor wat ze bieden.

Don't go here. They first tried to give me a very small room on the top floor, just below the roof. I could hardly stand in the room and as it was a very hot day the temperature in the room was almost unbearable, the ac very old and hardly working. When I wanted to shower I had to call reception for towels. And when I wanted to use the toilet I found out it hadn't be cleaned! At that moment I decided I had enough. They gave me another (slightly better) room. The receptionist told me I was absolutely right: he wouldn't have accepted the room himself (then don't offer it!). I''ve been often to Stellenbosch and luckely there are much better places very close to this one. They won't see me again.

Great location - right in the middle of town

Room was small, cold (3 walls to the outside!) and noisy - a german party came in at night late and kept us awake as they checked in

Never stay here! This was the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. We were allocated the loft room. We were then taken to the room. It was up 2 sets of steps next to the staff enterance which was noisy wth staff coming and going all the time. It was a real dump! We didn't even take a shower as it was so grotty and old. There was no space to put our suitcase. We hardly had room to get from the bed and move around. The bed was rock hard. We asked for another room and was told it was full. For the same money we could have got a far better, hotel in Stellenbosch. Spoke to a member to staff next day and he told us that people usually use the loft room for just a few hours sleep on route to somehere else. We should have been told that the room was a total dum before they took our money. I really believe that we should have a refund. We could hardly sleep as it was so hot and stuffy with tiny window. TRhe staff were not helpful and didn't care. Next morning, thank god it came I waited 40 minutes for a poached egg! AWFUL

Very well kept and restored old hotel, nice design.

Even though the upstairs rooms are very nicely designed and decorated, they were very noisy because of the wooden structure. This resulted in an uncomfortable feeling where this aspect more or less downgraded the room as one in a cheap Formula 1 French highway hotel, since you could hear every word which was spoken by the neighbors on both sides, also caused by the en-suite doors (even though they were closed).

- Location - in the historic (and better part) of Stellenbosch, with nice places all over to have a drink in the sun - fantastic breakfast - friendly personel - quick check in, payment and service - free parking available

We were given a warm welcome and a free uprade from third floor studio room to a courtyard level room. The central location is ideal for sightseeing and shopping.
