The staff and the owners were so lovely to deal with. Like other reviewers have said - it really was like staying with friends. Free internet, free airport pick up and drop off, free shuttle to areas locally (shopping center etc) We ate at the Guest House and like other reviewers - we thought the food was exceptional! We needed to be close to the airport so the location was perfect. The owners couldn't be more gracious and helpful. Really enjoyed our stay

Everything. The owners were friendly and made you feel welcome. It felt like home away from home. It was cozy and the food was the best I have had at a hotel and very reasonable. I would definitely stay there again.

The room was clean and smelt good.

My room was next to a club or something and the road. The club played music unitl the early hours of the morning and I could not sleep. It was very noisy. Dinner was offered but when I went to dinner there was nothing for me to eat as I am not a meat eater and nothing was offered as an alternative. I would have happily ordered take away but it was not given me as an option.

This is really a place for an overnight layover in Johannesburg - but for that it is perfect. The complementary airport pick-up was great. Breakfast was fine. The highlight was probably the honor bar - 4 cold beers for only R70!

I loved the breakfast, served with relaxing music. Hosts were so friendly and gave us great sight seeing tips. The atmosphere was so welcoming and relaxing. Clean and neat!

Owners and staff were extremely helpful and courteous. Real family atmosphere. Accommodations were clean and well-organized. Free wi-fi, Johannesburg Airport pick-up and drop-off. Will definately return.

I like the fact that i felt at home, the room was great, food excellent. And you guys were all great and friendly. Am coming back should i ever find myself in SA again.

Unbelievable service. Probably the friendliest hotel I have ever stayed in. Arthur, Ina and the staff were exceptional hosts as was the parrot Clarrisa!!

Very friendly, helpful owners. Excellent location for airport, with free transfers available. Our room was very spacious and breakfast was good. It was great to meet fellow travellers at the barbecue (optional) in the evening. Would definitely stay again.

None of 3.applicable as we chose for convenience to the airport for connecting flights. We liked that the family style dinner that was an option meant we did not have to search for a meal location. Of particular note were all the white linens used - always knew everything was clean. Great service for pickup at the airport, and to take us to the Gautrain so that we could do some sightseeing in the hours available.

Would have liked a chair in the room!

Heather and Lewis went out of their way to fulfill all that was needed. Would definitely recommend it!!!!!!!!

The owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. Some of our friends were staying at a different hotel, but they were welcomed into Sunrock to spend time with us and use the pool. We had a late flight and they offered us late checkout and allowed us to hang out at the pool all day as well. The included breakfast was delicious and the dinner that they served was fit for a king! Next time I visit Jo'Berg, this is where I'm staying!

Very friendly staff, pick-up and drop-off at airport, so ideal if you fly in late or need to catch a plane early morning. Good breakfast included, nice bar and pool.

Close to airport, so airplanes can be heard.

The owner is passionate about his business, and very much involved. The shuttle service is good and rates for city trips were ok.

very good and close affordable accomidation to JNB. Bit of plane noise but to be expected. Basic but nice rooms and nice dinner buffet and bar to ask the locals questions. No complaints. Includes transfers to and from the airport upon demand and on time.

I stayed here as I needed to overnight near to Johannesburg airport en route from South Africa to Zambia. I wanted somewhere secure as I was travelling alone (female) and also cheap (as the holiday was costing me a fortune already) but still pleasant to stay in. This place is perfect. The receptionist was so lovely when she welcolmed me, the room was spacious, clean, bright and comfortable. The shower was excellent - huge shower head and great pressure. The barbeque dinner was amazing value and really delicious. My steak was huge! :-) and cooked perfectly. I read great comments about this place when looking for my accomodation and it certainly lived up to them all. I wouldn't hesitate to reccommend this place to anyone needing to stay in Johannesburg.
