Service was excellent and the spa is completely different - great experience. There is no outdoor pool/area, or anywhere to enjoy the sunshine.

Rooms were of a good size and very clean, Staff pleasant, and the location was good. The only negative comment I can make is that on 3 separate days I informed reception and housekeeping staff about 3 lightbulbs in our room not working. All promised to rectify the matter but we left the room with those bulbs still not working

Reception warm and welcoming - free room upgrade. Beautiful room, lovely hotel right in the heart of Cape Town. This is a fabulous hotel - I have no complaints re the accommodation! The food is what let them down! The breakfast wasn't up to standard. We also had lunch in Mint - too many waiting staff hanging around not being helpful, food ok - expected better, no ambience.

The lobby of the hotel is of a great standard and has been converted from the previous reserve bank building. Staff were polite and helpful. The breakfast buffet was the standard of a three star hotel. The smoked salmon was grey and the bacon was burnt. The pastry range was limited to a few and very doughy. The swimming pool is provided by another establishment in another building.
