Service excellent Room clean and comfortable Venue is beautiful !!! Stuff that was lacking needs minor tweaking
No DSTV selection in rooms No heardryer in room Attention wasn't given to breakfast - coffee was finished and not refilled. Road dark/unsafe for travelling after dark or early in the morning
Both evening meal and breakfasts were outstanding. The cost of evening meal very reasonable.
The difficulty of finding the location
directions to this very, very isolated guest house were pathetic, it took me an hour to find it. A shower outside the bedroom in the South African winter is not exactly my idea of quiet luxury. While it certainly saves costs for developers, the reason for the currrent fashion, there is a reason why the loo is generally in the bathroom, not inside the bedroom.
Tranquility of the area.
The staff were extremely friendly, the rooms were immaculate and the breakfast was excellent. It is really a relaxing place for a weekend away from the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg
The fact that we went with 2 teenage children,, a games room or pool table or tennis court would be nice for them to spend some time enjoying themselves.
All was Great and beyond our expectations. we really enjoyed our stay and the breakfast was on point. its a must go Place
big rooms, good breakfast, ample parking.
Took my colleague nearly an hour to find the location.
Access is problematic as it is not as per gps or map
Facilities overall were excellent
The staff were excellent and very helpful and welcoming.
Location a little out of the way. Some of the advertised food was not available.
Location & relaxed ambiance were excellent.
No variety in satellite TV stations.

Super, Super Helpful personal and as well the Management. Dream of breakfast and stylfull rooms. Ever again
Kids play area
nothing as we were not informed that there will be a party and was very uncomfortable.
The room was spacious and was good for an overnite stay.
We booked a chalet and got a double room. It was handled in good fashion, but can cause problems in the future. It was very noisy on arrival - loud music, but when we returned after our function, it was quiet. There were empty condom boxes in the drawer - not nice!
The plaxce lookes nice but need some attention
The double room was not cleaned. Old stuff from previous visitors in drawers. Only one towl available.
No hot water - apparently there was a burst pipe but staff did nothing to address it or provide alternative washroom facilities. Staff made a heck of a noise late at night and early in the morning - continuously waking us up with their shouting. It sounded like they were having quite a party late into the night Breakfast was served 40 mins late every morning without fail and the setup was very noisy - dishes bashing and cutlery being dropped. Staff laze around on couches reserved for guests and watch TV - the channel was exclusively on soap opera channels Owners were nowhere to be seen and there was no management whatsoever - seemed that staff simply "did as they pleased"
Friendly staff, helpful, picked me up at the main road when at night I couldn't find the lodge
Like one of the commenters before me I was unfortunately there when a big party was taking part in the main area. So sleep was impossible and dinner had to be taken in the room... Might be a really nice place to stay when it is quit, but it seems like partys are not uncommon there and as most rooms are near the main lounge area sleep then becomes impossible (for me even with earplugs it was too loud). So if your looking for a quit relaxing place to stay, ask beforehand or go somewhere else...
The room itself was large, clean and well appointed but don't expect to be able to sleep in it ..... see my other comments in "What didn't I like."
My room was in reception and right next to the kitchen. Cupboard doors banging late at night and very early in the morning, compounded by the local Gigolo (who apparently is a regular visitor and acts as though he owns the place) and his harem in the reception lounge until gone midnight meant that I failed to get any sleep at all, despite getting out of bed to complain just before midnight. The night receptionist was powerless to do anything about the noise from Mr Gigolo and his girls. My advice to any prospective guests would be to avoid rooms 1 to 5, all of which are in reception and ask to be put into a lodge outside. Guests in the other reception rooms were also complaining the following morning at breakfast of the same noise problems.
rooms in the main house are extremely noisy. people partying until 05.00AM: no sleep
