Bed comfy Salt water pool Being overseas guests staff booked all our transport for us, on request Not far from camps at Central Safe area
Pillows not Very comfy. Big.
The location to camps bay, the attentive staff, the choice of breakfast, the comfy pillows
We booked the patio room which having travelled South Africa for our honeymoon was below standard for the amount we paid; it could be made so much better if the owners concentrated on the decor and moved it out of the 1980'S. We tried to move the furniture around and found a pile of dead ants under the table hence the reason for low score on cleanliness, everything else fine. We booked as it suggested there was a sea view but it is a pool view and if you open the patio door and gaze past the pool only then do you really see the sea (which is probably why they don't show the sea view in the patio room pictures) The manager kindly moved us to the Atlantic room which was far better. There was an altercation in the night with another guest and his friend which disrupted our night but believe this to be a one off. The walls seemed to be thin as we could hear when people went to the loo. We decided to count our losses and checked out the next day, and spent the last two days in a boutique hotel in constantia which was a little more expensive but delightful.
Everything was excellent great breakfast !!!!!!! Lovely people made it a very special holiday can't wait to come back fabulous location.
Breakfast was delicious en the view was stunning ! It was a pleasure to stay there ... It felt directly like home ! I recommend this to everyone ! Very friendly and helpfull people !
The staff- go out of your way to make the stay special Breakfast Location The view
Everything. The staff go out of their way to help. The facilities are spotless, the views amazing and the breakfasts excellent. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel at home and if you are catching an evening flight you are able to leave your luggage, use the pool and take a shower until you are ready to leave
That we were not able to stay longer
Very high standard ,excellent location ,Amazing views & such welcoming owners,Fab comfy bed Yummy breakfast what more could anyone want !!
the terrasse for sunsets
poor recommandations for visiting the sourroundings
Kelly was amazing so helpful and friendly she couldn't have done more for us. Views and pool area fab and close to the beach with great sunset view and off street parking. Lovely breakfast too.
garden suite is a little dark and had quite a small bathroom but made up for with sofa area. Had to unplug toxic air fresherner but apart from that fine.
Bed a bit on the hard side for me.
Beautiful place in ideal location with friendly, helpful staff. Spotless room, very comfortable bed and tasty breakfasts.
I can't think of anything I didn't like.
The Bay Atlantic Guest House was the last accommodation for my wife and I after a one month South Africa and Namibia vacation. Staff were extremely welcoming and very helpful in arranging activities. Our pool suite was spacious with a large, comfy bed that was loaded with pillows. There was a pullout couch that offered great patio window views of Camps Bay and the Twelve Apostles mountain peaks. Breakfast was served from 8:30 am each day and included a good selection of fruit, cereals, cheese/deli meats, yogurt and hot menu items. Everything was delicious. The Bay Atlantic is a short walk down a hill to Camps Bay beach and the restaurants lining the main street. The walk back up the hill is not too bad, but there are many taxis in Camps Bay should the walk be a challenge.
That the weather didn't cooperate and allow us to take advantage of the sparkling clean pool.
The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was outstanding - I would go back just for that! It was an amazing location - a very short walk to the beach. The view from our room (beach and the mountains) was also one of the highlights for us. A big thank you too to Kelly who drove my partner's mobile to the airport when he left it at the hotel at check out. It was very kind of you and we will not forget it!
Not much - only the duvet for the bed did not cover us both. Would have been nice if it was a little bigger.
The staff were so friendly and laid back. The location has fantastic sea and mountain views. Within a short walk of all the bars, restaurants and beach. Breakfasts were great and the "honesty" bar was extremely well stocked and resonably priced!
Bernie forgot to return may credit card after settling the account, I did not realize till I was at the airport. He was already on the way, driving there to return my card to me. Unbleievable caring.
Location and ease of walking to the sea front and the Caps Bay restaurants. A warm welcome - especially from the two dogs! Very comfortable beds and good in room facilities. The 'penthouse' room has wonderful views and great to sit on the terrace. Good breakfast
quite a lot of stairs to contend with if you have a lot (or heavy) luggage.
Great location and incredibly friendly, helpful staff.
Liked everything about this guest house....friendly management and staff, perfect location. Just like a second home.
I cannot begin to describe the level of hospitality we received at the Bay Atlantic. The breakfast was divine, I could not believe such a spread was included in the very reasonable hotel price, and to eat overlooking the ocean was such a treat. 3 from our group stayed in the penthouse with balcony, and it was such a perfect spot - I would even recommend it for a couple looking to splurge a bit. We had complimentary champagne while watching the sunset. This little jewel is going to be first on my list next time I'm lucky enough to be in town.
We have little, if anything, to complain about from the Bay Atlantic! The budget rooms are a bit on the small side, and ours was a bit lacking in natural light, but they are also budget rooms, after all :) And all rooms are incredibly clean and well-appointed.
Great position 2 mins walk from the seafront, restaurants and bus stop into Cape Town. Staff were all welcoming & knowledgeable, nothing was too much trouble, airport transfers, taxi, advice on attractions, private tour guide, confirming our shark diving - everything was taken care of. Breakfast is fantastic with everything from cereals to a hot cooked breakfast, fresh juice, fruit salad, tea/coffee. Beautiful lounge with magazines, sofas, touist guides. Outside magnificent views of the Twelve Apostles mountains and back of Table Top Mountain (you can even see the cable car reaching the summit) behind the B & B, to the front over the poolside (with lots of comfortable reliners for sunbathing) is the Atlantic sea and the long white sandy beach. The Penthouse has its own entrance within the property, a flight of stairs up to the very large lounge, sofa, TV, desk, fridge. Leading off a big bathroom inc jacuzzi bath, a great shower, bathrobes and big fluffy towels, wonderful bedroom with enormous & VERY comfortable bed, plenty of wardrobe space. The private terrace is accessed via bedroom or lounge with two reliners and a table and 2 chairs. Great for taking in the fantastic views or watching the sunset for your own sundowners session!
The last 2 minutes walk from Camps Bay is steep!
In my experience the best guest house in camps bay everything just done more than they need to
The view from penthouse room. Wow amazing. Friendly staff who help you so much, really kind manager. Great location just moments walk to camps bay. The penthouse room is brilliant. Big pool.
No complimentary water (tap water is fine but I expect bottled)
The perfect start to our South Africa trip. Bernie, Kelly and Nicola made us very welcome and were on hand to help with restaurant recommendations and support with online tickets. We particularly wanted sea views and were not disappointed. Stunning! The Atlantic Room was perfect and views from the breakfast room meant you could make the most of the location. The breakfast offering was a superb start to the day. Thank you and we will be planning a return
We just loved our stay at the Bay Atlantic Guest House . It is a beautiful and picturesque home owned by Bernie in the heart of Cape Town , a short 2 -3 minute walk and we were right at the Beach and the restaurants on Camps Bay . On arrival at night we were warmly welcomed by Bernie and made to immediately feel at home .Our rooms were large ,spacious and beautifully made up. The house keeping was impeccable .Each room had views which were spectacular. We met Kelly the next morning who runs the guest house together with her team of merry women who were really sweet and very efficient. We were immediately made to feel at home by Kelly, given the most amazing breakfast every day ,looked after so well ...our youngest son just loved Kelly and the day she was on holiday he really missed having her around .Kelly very sweetly went out of her way and helped us to rent a car ,planned our visit each day around Cape Town, helped with our bookings on the net so that we did not loose time and gave us great suggestions of eating places , restaurants in and around Cape Town which were excellent ...we faced a problem with hot water in one room on the first night and Kelly immediately without any request from our side moved us to their penthouse suite which was just amazing. It has this sitting area with a cozy little fire place where we would sit in the evenings after a crazy day of sightseeing. The views from the penthouse balcony was spectacular. Bernie was very kind and took us to the mall the first day to buy a jacket for may daughter as we had not rented a car till then. It was very sweet of him .We loved the warm hospitality of the Bay Atlantic family which made our stay in Cape town a very special one . As we told Bernie and Kelly we will definitely be back and we look forward to staying with them again
Loved everything .
