The Bay Hotel  

The Bay Hotel was wonderful. The staff, the location and the sightseeing buses located across the street were great. I found the breakfast a great way to start the day, and the wait staff (Holi, Cynthia, and Sandra) made sure everything was perfect including my soy milk! The front desk run by Tammy was magnificient and recommendations to eat dinner were right-on. It was a wonderful stay--thank you

Its perfect.

All of it! The location was perfect. Our room overlooked both the sea and the mountain. The views from the restaurant and Traders bar were fabulous. We were looked after to the highest standard.

The Bay jouit d'une infrastructure et d'une architecture assez impressionante,face à l'océan : le service est bon, les petites piscines mignones, la vue sur l'océan, si l'on n'est pas au rez, est époustouflant Il présente l'avantage d'être près de différents spots de visite, de Cape Town, du Cap de Bonne Espérance...

The bay est fréquenté la journée ( et avec le consentement de la direction) par des hordes de touristes d'un jour qui boivent, fument, crient,occupent les chaises longues,les douches, les toi¨lettes, le hammam, le sauna....une fois le soleil couché, ils quittent les lieux et ce n'est qu'à ce moment là, mais un peu tard, qu'on peut apprécier les qualités de l'hôtel... Dommage que la direction de ce très bel hôtel en soi" joue le jeu" et ne privilégie aucunement ses cients! "L'argent n'a pas d'odeur"

Located across the road from the beach

Some rooms are extremely noisy, we did not sleep at all the first night as the room was facing the ocean (which is supposed to be a higher rate) but the music from the local bar kept going on till 5 am ... we had to move to a different room the next day and no one even suggested helping us with moving and packing; when we were at the reception complaining the morning after, there was another lady complaining her room was awfully noisey and she had not slept at all; very dated rooms and bathrooms especially- plastic bathtubs and cracked tiles.. very poor decor; we stayed in one and only before that and had a bathroom the size of the whole room at the bay with the latest decor and a walk in shower big enough for 2 people; the staff are unenthusiastic and never ask you if you would like a drink or anything when you are by the pool; we attracted their attention to a sticking out nail on the pool deck and no one did anything about it, just shrugged it off;

Kamers waren mooi en netjes! Personeel was erg vriendelijk! En de lokatie was perfect aan het strand, uitzicht op zee en centraal gelegen bij veel restaurantjes, waar je heerlijk kan eten.
