We had the largest suite I have ever seen! From being met in the car park on arrival and throughout our stay the facilities and staff were first class. Other hotels should aspire to these standards.
Loved the place. Apart from the hotel being gorgeous (in the mould of the Tablebay hotel) staff have clearly received comprehensive training and were, to a man (woman!), courteous, efficient, professional and keen to help in any way. Really excellent service. We'll certainly be back!
Salads need reviewing. My artichoke salad was inedible and the tinned Tuna salad mundane.
No pool service - had to ask twice Charged, then overcharged for breakfast Dismissive attitude of staff when request not in their remit. Only a smoking bar area
Location of hotel, view , breakfast was good and staff great
We came down for a wedding on arrival back at the hotel on Saturday night very disappointed to find that our bed linen was not replaced from the previous poeple who stayed in the room , dirty sheets and you could see that someone slept in that bed , to say the least the sheets were actually disgusting. But the staff came and replaced it
Nice location Good-size room safe Protected parking
Unable to turn off all the air-conditioning in the room (3x systems, but only 2x controls) Awkward lighting control (can turn off all lights from upstairs bedroom, but cannot turn the stairs light on until you are at the bottom of the stairs!!!) Breakfast rushed - so many staff, your plate is cleared whilst you still have the toast in your hand. Upper windows not cleaned on the outside obscuring the sea view!
Nothing not to like. Everything was awesome
Everything was excellent
The spa was amazing
Only slight negative was quality of food outlets nearby. Lots to choose from within walking distance, but mostly fast food. Hotel main restuarant was just OK.
The facilities are fantastic, the staff is helpful and the breakfast spread is great. It's a pity i wasn't the on holiday.
The wifi connection was poor to non responsive. The dinner menu could benefit from some creative improvement.
Trying to find the entry to the hotel. Definetely needs better signage. Instructions indicate off Second Ave, this is only for the Casino. Even off Marine Parade, signage is poor.
It was comforting to come to a plush hotel in a country that is quite poor. It was like an oasis in a desert.
I didn't like the service I received from the receptionist in the spa when I asked for shampoo she replied with an abrupt no and went back to looking at her computer.
Gorgeous room . Amazing views . Food was amazing and great value. Staff were very helpful. We loved this hotel .
Location, nice rooms and great bathroom. Good breakfast.
Everything was fine
I think we booked a luxury double with an extra bed. It was gorgeous. Loads of space, sitting area was great, ding table and 4 chairs in the room, bathroom huge with lovely slipper bath and massive walk in shower.
It was so quiet when we stayed - maybe everyone was in the Casino but no one in the bar so no atmosphere. I t would have been nice to sit in the bar but our 14 year old was not allowed in so we had to sit in the very comfortable but deadly quiet foyer to have a night cap.
The staff rendered excellent personal service to us. The highlight of the evening was when they brought us a special dish for dessert....with a marriage proposal written in chocolate on it.
Location...friendly staff..reasonable pricing...near PE Airport
Beautiful Hotel - friendly staff - excellent facilities - shops and casino nearby
Overall feel of comfort
Speaker system at pool was loud - could hear the music the whole night and prevented a relaxing sleep.
Possibly the most gorgeous hotel I have ever stayed in! We had the most beautiful room, we are just so sad that we were only there for one night! Wonderful hotel!
That we were only there for one night!
The hotel is excellent, all needed amenities available, we really enjoyed our stay.
Housekeeping came for our turndown service while we were getting ready to go out for dinner, we asked them to come back in 20 minutes. When we came back from dinner we were disappointed to find that they ever came back. That was our only complaint.
The staff were very helpful. It was our honeymoon, and they had rose petals and chocolates on our bed. they also brought up a small bottle of bubbly to our room. The breakfast was amazing - great choice. The location was also very good - within a few yards of the boradwalk restaurants and bars.
It was quite hard to find the parking entrance of the hotel - we arrived at various entrances to be told we have to park elsewhere.
Some staff need a little more training.
I specified rooms side by side for the family when I booked. I reiterated it when I checked in (my family arrived later) They still separated us. I booked an airport pickup for my family the night before they arrived and they were left stranded at the airport. Not 5 star service !!
Had a wonderful stay and were looked after in every way by the friendly efficient staff. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Port Elizabeth.
good facilities and lovely restaurant
huge problem with booking via booking.com. Ended paying in advance for 2 out of 3 rooms and then paying for all 3 on check in. If I had not worked it out, we would have paid twice. Simply dreadful system.
