In the case of this hotel at booking by the internet it is not possible to select a room with two separate beds or with one bed for two persons.
Close to evevything
Room very comfortable
Parking - does not exist! Way overpriced for what you can get in a much better area and more modern hotel. Location is not great either. Very old building.
Staff where great Room was clean Bed was nice
I had a problem with my card and parking early in the visit but Funeka, the manager was really helpful.
Room not spacious, only shower yet no showercaps. No proper lock from the inside. No babycot yet request was made during booking.
Room was clean!
The breakfast is not worth the price. Please improve the breakfast menu. Its limited and something different from what we have at home.
The friendly staff ,tranquility, cleanliness and overall proximity. Its homely designed. .
Helpful staff, friendly atmosphere, convenient location and good value.
comfortable sleep and woken up with a call as requested
Breakfast should be extended to accomodate those who wake up late.....
friendly, gregarious and outspokenness of the service people....in a nutshell i liked staying there and i would conclude that cape diamond resembes what a businessman would consider value for money
Location of the hotel, rooms, beds, TV and bathroom, reception, parking and the stuff.
Rooms are very hot
Close to the castle of good hope
the parking area also the way the rooms was cleaned
the bed is nice and made up nice
The parking arrangements were confusing. The things in the room were a little old and some needed repairs.
Very well located. Friendly staff.
On arrival we had to carry four large suitcases from level 6 to level 7 via the staircase. No porter to assist on arrival. Two lifts, only one goes to level 6, hence the reason we had to walk a flight with luggage. Both rooms had no aircons. We then requested rooms with aircons, my daughters were moved to room 805, we were moved to room 202. Room 202, bathroom is tiny and uncomfortable. Bed and pillows not comfortable at all. Road traffic etc extremely noisy. My suggestion is not to stay in room 202. On departure we were requested to pay an additional parking fee which I was not informed about on check in. Had we known we would have made alternate areangements. Hotel is located in a very noisy area, its dirty and the furniture is old and chipped. I wont be staying here again. Cape Town Lodge is by far a better hotel and value for money. Its probably a two minute drive from this hotel and parking is free!
Reception, staff and Funeka were friendly and helpful and Funeka did try and accommodate us.
I loved everything about the hotel. The location, the vibe, the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. It looks exactly like it is shown on the internet. I would go there everytime if I should go to Cape Town.
Not much in the way of facilities
Staff were friendly, helpful and efficient
The kitchen of the restauarnt didn have some of the food and drink I wanted on their menu as advertised
The floor rags
The Manager - Funeka is very very helpful and welcoming big up to her
We had to ask on 4 occasions for towels, we were there for 4 days. The room next to the elevator is very very noisy. Room smelt damp.
Breakfast & linen
to come back and stay there again
There were no air conditioners in our room as well as no safe to keep personal belongings while out
I thought the staff was professional, friendly and helpful and the hotel was in a fantastic location to explore Cape Town, central to everything
Room could be just a bit bigger. I had to squeeze between bed and fridge and desk. Otherwise, everything was really nice.
Staff was so welcoming, kind and professional. Location of the hotel is excellent. Bed was super comfortable. Bathroom is nice, with toiletries available and refilled daily, such as shower gel, shampoo, soap and body lotion. There is a hair dryer and a small fridge in the room.
Cleanliness: I had a horrible experience to find my room toilet looking like hadn't been cleaned for days and used soap bottles of previous guest still in the shower. I reported the morning of my first stay, and on the second night found the toilet condition the same - unbelievable! Eventually they offered me another room. Clean bathroom this time. But when I woke up, I way greeted with strands of strange hair in my beddings, not my short African hair.
Breakfast was good Quite friendly staff Very good location near the business district
