The Chocolate House B&B

The Chocolate House is an old beauty with excellent hosts, Lee and Johan. They made our holiday super-special. The atmosphere is welcoming, warm and hearty, the rooms are spacious, tastefully decorated and have personality, the breakfast was just delicious. It is a jump away from Devils Peak and it's located in a safe area, 5 min. to the city centre! We spent 11 fabulous days in the Chocolate House and we definitely will come back! And last not least there was Versace, who delighted my heart!

The hospitality of the owners and the central location in Cape Town.

The hosts were just superb, and go the extra mile to accomodate people. Lee and Johan were the best kind of people you could ever meet, and make you very welcome always. I could suggest thid place to anyone.

Our hosts were excellent, they were always on hand to help and ensure that we had the best possible stay, not only in their b&b but in Cape Town as well. The décor is wonderful and the breakfasts are delicious, made to personal order and substantial. The location is convenient for both the airport and for Cape Town and there is a reliable taxi service on hand so we could go out and enjoy the lovely South African wines without having to worry about driving home. There is an excellent local restaurant as well which was ideal for when we had had a long day and wanted to stay closer to home. Thoroughly recommended.

The hosts; nothing was too much trouble. The house; fantastically decorated with lovely furniture and antiques. The location; nice quite area but close to a few restraunts and just five minutes from the city centre or V & A Waterfront.

The hotel has a sweet name and is well located. The european style interior decoration and lay out reveals good taste of art. Romantic and quiet. Breakfast prepared by Lee is superb with the whole wheat bread freshly baked and the smell greatly enhanced one's appetite. Johan and Lee are extremely warm to their guests. Though we only stayed for one night, I strongly felted the sorrow of parting in the morning. Highly reccomended.

Excellent hospitality, we felt very welcomed! great breakfasts and flexible timings were a bonus. Easy access to city and popular tourist spots but a car is helpful. Loved our stay here many thanks.

The chocolate house was the high point of a wonderful roundtrip in South Africa and it´s a have to stay accommodation in Cape Town. The host are fabulous and they try to read every wish from your lips. They have good tips for sightseeing and help you where they can. The room were very clean and nicely done up. In the morning you get a varied breakfast and nice conversations with Johan. In this accommodation we feels very warm and enjoyed every day. Thank you and best wishes to Johan and Lee. A+M

We felt at home in this b&B. The owners are such a lovely people, so kind and helpful. They were a great help. I want to emphasize the great hosts they are. The room was very nice, and the forniture in all the house is beautiful. We really enjoyed the meal that Johan prepared for us before we leave.

The bathroom was across the hall.

The hosts are very helpful and go out of the way to ensure you have a comfortable stay. We went with a 2 month baby and they made us very welcome. A home away from home.

Lee und Johan sind super nett. Ausgezeichnetes Frühstück und sehr schön eingerichtetes Haus.

Wir wurden von den zwei Gastgebern "Johan und Lee" mit sehr viel Liebe und Engagement empfangen und betreut. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und bis ins letzte Detail stilvoll. Eine 100% Empfehlung von unserer Seit und hoffentlich bis bald.

La atencion y calidez especial de sus duenos, la limpieza inmaculada, el cuidado de cada detalle, el servicio de desayuno, cada dia diferente y personalizado, la ubicacion en cuanto a la accesibilidad de todos los lugares de interes.

Si bien cada habitacion cuenta con un bano privado y muy bueno, el mismo no esta dentro de la misma habitacion.

Die Gastgeber, Johan und Lee, waren einfach super. Sie haben uns bei buchungen geholfen und uns gute Tipps über Kapstadt gegeben. Wir haben uns sehr gut aufgenommen gefühlt und hatten eine tolle Zeit. The Chocolate House ist ein gemütliches B&B mit guter Lage und super Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis.

The Chocolate House had a very homey/stylish decor, and the B&B owners were very warm and welcoming. Location was not too far from the highway with easy access to the city and airport.
